Nail....Meet....Head....Vol. Dr. Umar Johnson Discusses Racism, President Obama, Personal Agenda Vs.

I recommend listening to HIM speak on it rather than go by my sloppy interpretation of it. He has videos where he talks about it, including his last, not latest, Breskfast Club interview.

Yeah listening to his vid he's not actually homophobic, ie he doesn't hate gays and doesn't believe they should be ostracized, just has his theory that it's a mental disorder. It sounds wrong, but i'm not expert on any theories of homosexuality to get riled up about it, I truly don't know or understand it. But like him, I agree they shouldn't be ostracized.

That shouldn't be what's discussed in here though and it's sad that in this uber PC society, people are gonna miss his otherwise solid ideas and perspective on the black people's plight, over some **** that really isn't even homophobic if it's as simple as his own theory of what causes homosexuality.

It's just as bad that people aren't willing to challenge his views on homosexuality because his thoughts on other issues are so accurate.

But you're right, this thread isn't supposed to be about that. A new thread would be worth making because there is definitely a discussion to be had on that topic.

You don't have to come out right and call people the F word to be considered homophobic, in the same way whites assume racism is all burning cross and screaming out the Nword. Calling someone's sexual orientation a mental disorder and relating them to pedophiles is equally offensive.

No doubt it would be offensive to gays, and I didn't quite see him relate them to pedophiles, moreso being victims of them. But again I think it's wrong, and the logic doesn't gel with me, but at the same time i know nothing.

^ you did realize you typed niketalk in your browser, rite?

Sons point on raising this from a civil rights issue to international issue of genocide was very intriguing.

And we still go dudes on here talking about "Obamas my hero and will always be my hero" and "what do you expect him to do?", "he can't do anything".

Why'd you vote for him if he can't do anything? Yall letting this fool off the hook, kissing the ground he walks on for no other reason than his skin color.

I assume that this is reference to me. I voted for Obama for many reasons. Not just for him to represent black people in the Oval Office, he was the best candidate both times.

No one ease had a better social policy platform, his proposed Healthcare plan was the only one that would have brought us to universal coverage, he believes in Keynesian demand side polices which I support.

And I don't see how pointing out the current political climate and simple checks and balances is somehow kissing the ground he walks on.

And I have seen no one else even come close to the steez you're saying

You say you're making the attempt to be less condescending. Try harder

-Regarding Umar Johnson, will watch the video, and he makes some good points but I can't rock with a lot of things he says. The homosexuality thing being the worst of it.

True. I'll hold the L.

As for the second point, agreed. What can we, NT do though? :nerd: Something has to change.

I kinda agree with him on protesting Obama though. I'm proud of the brother, but he needs to do more. Take a risk at this stage. I also see the bigger picture though, and this upsetting white America to the point of making it tougher than it is for us to live here, a la President Trump.

There's 3 branches of government, not just 1. I'm sure if Obama had 100% power along with support around him, things would actually happen

People criticized Obama in one of the shooting threads and the thread was up in arms, defending him. This guy says it and now it's nothing but facts

As many have stated; good interview but I can't stop thinking about his interview regarding homesexuality.

No doubt, I know how tough they've made it on him these past 8 years. But I still remember GW on his bully ****, getting whatever he wanted. We went to Iraq based on nothing.

NT is a sleeping giant. You got predominantly men of all ages, backgrounds, and career fields all over the country (and some international.)
If we got together for one common goal, we would literally change the world..... we just dont know what that goal or the actions are.

Bush lied to Congress and the America people to convince a some democrats to vote along with the GOP to authorize military action in Iraq.

Obama has been truth and asked for criminal justice reform, extension of the Ferguson commission, re-authorization of the Voting rights Acts, and some kind programs to better monitor the police, and Congress said **** no every time.

With the limited power he has, he has tried to free has many non-violent offenders as he can, and rolled back the government program selling excess military weapons to police forces.

The main problem is with Congress. That is the root of all nearly dysfunction in the Federal government. And if black people want stuff done, that is who needs to feel the heat.

I've been following Dr Umar for a long time now, since my introduction of him in Tariq Nasheed's Hidden Colors films.

I agree with a lot of what he says that pertain to me and my people (I'm black of course)

Where his opinion on homosexuality may come off crazy to some but it shouldn't get in the way of the knowledge he's spittin

I don't hear him wishing death on homosexuals or spreading any anti gay rhetoric besides pointing out theories

I don't personally have an opinion on the subject but I just feel like his message gets washed away when the topic of his opinion or theory behind homosexuality gets brought up

For Obama or any liberal to have the power to enact real change the Supreme Court needs to be firmly liberal, the President must be left wing, the House needs to be majority liberal, and 60% of the Senate needs to be made up of liberals to beat a filibuster.

And this gets done by voting constantly, not just every 4 years.

Obama little window of decent power (he had a Democratic super majority for a few months, but it not liberal one)closed because white nationalist in Tea Party voted in droves in 2010, while most people sat home.

-Of course people should be hard on Obama, he doesn't get off the hook. But people have to understand how the government and political system works.

Something has to change.
I want to see the bit at 30:51 about Obama escaping with no criticisms will hurt our grandchildren, I want to see that go viral...because the conversation needs to be had about how we've let Obama help every group of people except ours in the name of protecting one of our "own" from criticisms from the white man.

The overwhelming mentality of blacks (myself included) was that Obama's only prerequisite to receive our support was to simply be black and that has come back to hurt us as he feels like he doesn't need to do anything else to gain our support and backing.

Someone chop 30:51 - 32:23 and tweet it and let's try to get that **** to go viral because I know a lot of people didn't even click on this video, the younger generation doesn't know who Umar is.
