I feel like before Kanye went to adidas there was no competition for Nike in terms of streetwear/hypebeast... at least from what I see.
I aint see nothing on instagram for adidas from accounts like complex, hypebeast, etc back then.
But ever since Ye' jumped on adidas, it seems like it helped adidas big time by attracting the streetwear audience.
the NMD + Boosts are the hype right now and they were big last year too. How much credit should be given to Kanye?

http://www.businessinsider.com/kany...ar-sneaker-brand-on-instagram-in-2015-2015-12Adidas racked up 78.8 million likes on its account, @adidasoriginals, likely due to the insane popularity of its Yeezy Boost collaboration with Kanye West. Nike, even across its @nike,@nikesportswear, and @jumpman23 (Jordan) brands, couldn't keep up with the popularity of Yeezy.
