Has anyone phased out their laptop for a tablet device?

not that I think my Macbook Air is going to die anytime soon (or at least i hope not), but I realize how little I actually have on here...

I have no music (stream), no photos, and only a few word docs and PDF's on my MBA...all i do is browse...

anybody make the transition?

My MacBook Pro is collecting dust.

My iPad meets 98% of my cpu related needs.

Not an Apple fanboy by any means, only time my laptop gets touched is for spreadsheets related to my investment trading.

I broke my Air last year and went about 7 months before I caved in and bought the pro I'm typing on right now. Ipad is just not conducive to browsing IMO. It is much better at watching movies/games, and most apps though....

No. Tablets are too limited. Certain websites don't work on the browsers. I also need to use microsoft office sometimes.

I tried but I hated it. like laptops more.

IPad for everyday browsing/steaming. HTPC for watching stuff on the tv and downloading stuff.

Nope.

I love my laptop

I'm the exact opposite

Something like a surface is the only tablet type device that will replace a laptop. The only time I really use a laptop is when I'm working, and I damn sure can't do my job on an iPad. Soon my work laptop is being replaced by a surface and I'm looking forward to it.

Anything else I'd do on a tablet I can do on my phone, and it's just easier using one device that you always have on you anyways.

Not on purpose.  My personal computer at home crapped out about 8 months ago, and have been strictly using an ipad since.

Want a new computer eventually though.

Even with a really nice blue tooth keyboard case, my iPad has limitations. I use that and my laptop equally. Also, this message board is a goddamn disaster on an iPad.

When you guys use your iPad, how do you use it? Do sit down and have it on your lap or just hold it in the air? on the table?

Maybe I'm just more comfortable with using my macbook pro and like having the sturdiness of the laptop keyboard setup

Idk, I guess I just never got used too using the iPad.

Honestly don't use my laptop or tablet often.

I do 90% of my computer related tasks on my cell phones.

I have a case with a stand.

I just lean it on my thigh usually.

NT is perfect on my iPad... I'm not sure about the complaints.

I still use my MacBook Pro for music as well.

I work on computers all day at work. I don't even turn my computer on at home. I use my iPhone for everything.
