How Do You Feel About Your Child Being Exposed To Same Sex Couples Through Cartoons/Kids Shows (Nick

I was five when I found out that gay couples existed. It wasn't a big deal for me.

I'll keep it 100% honest, no I wouldn't let them watch it. There is no room for homosexuality in my house. Now that happens outside my house is out of my control

Do you kick out your gay, lesbian, and bisexual family members and friends when they come over for the holidays? Or do you just pretend that they don't exist?

Pretty sure I wouldn't have cared as a kid. This all boils down to people's fear that now gays are being accepted into mainstream society and people are scared that their kids will be gay

I got a 2 year old ...Ima try to keep here from thinkin bout sexual orientations for as long as possible

Agendas getting pushed. I wrote several paragraphs in regards to this but it's not worth the debates or hurt feelings. There's a dozen other shows that should be created rather than this absolute garbage.

My dude, you and I have had our differences on this topic for a minute now. I don't have any gay/lesbian/bisexual family members, and if I did they don't admit that kind of stuff where I'm from. But for hypothetical purposes, let's say I had a gay cousin. As long as the topic of his sexuality doesn't come up, I wouldn't exclude him from any family functions.

What if your child was born homosexual? You wouldn't allow it?

For that kids own sake, let's hope he/she isn't born homosexual. Life would not be easy for that kid in my family

What's the motivation for keeping this hidden? Is it the fear of "turning" kids gay?

Bugs Bunny does a lot of cross dressing...should he get the same treatment?

Guess I just can't get down with prejudice and homophobia.

My bad.

Would be a good thing if anything. The sooner my kid can grow and have a better understanding of other lifestyles. I believe this sentiment of hating who the next person loves is dying through our generations. :smokin

Hate only breeds hate my fellow NT youngns.

Can anyone explain to me WHY something like this show is a bad thing for kids? And please, make sure your answer uses sound logic and is fact-based. I don't want to hear about what your religious book says.

Im with those that are saying that gay or not gay these types of shows arent needed for kids.

I want my daughter to be a kid, not worrying bout sex and boy and/or girls

While i am against pda (straight or gay) in any children's (under 10 yrs old) program, i dont feel this is something to be up in arms about. I dont have my own kids, allow me to preface that, but i have a brother n nephew, both of which are 8, a nephew that is 1, n another nephew due any day now. Reason being, there are children in their klassrooms that may have same sex parents. Would you pull your children from the klass/school if your child happened to be placed in that klass? What if your child befriended said child?

There should be no reason for pda to be inkluded in a childs show, but, rekognizing that in today's society, familial makeup konsists of many different types, why should they not be konsidered? If only to teach acceptance with those different from you. Why should that kommunity be chastized for being different?

My thing is, as long as the innuendo, pda, n agenda are nonexistent, there should be no problem. However, i do rekognize, n respekt, a parent's choice to not allow their child to watch the kartoon. At the end of the day, the onus is on the parents to decide what is best for their child.

As long as the kartoon keeps it agenda free, it's ok in my eyes, but i kan understand a parent's stance against it.

Also, to address those kryin about tv this n tv that, take a look at the kartoons on tv during our childhood. Ren n Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, Animaniaks, etc., there was perversion all over those shows. Yet many wax poetik about them. I also believe that much of the innuendo is placed strategikally, so as to keep parents entertained. Alotta stuff goes over a child's head, but that's kuz it was meant for parents, n adults, that may be subjekted to watching a show with a child.

Another thing, many of you have bigoted views that seem to represent the ideals n morals this kountry was founded on, n that upsets me moreso than a children's kartoon.

Just my thoughts tho [emoji]128129[/emoji]

Aint no bloods over here, first n foremost. But yeah, it started off with the way i spell my profanity, but people i kno began to harp on in it more n more. So i just said **** (dont warn me Meth, its edited) it, n started to use it in most kases of hard 'c' sounds.

Also, i hate *anada [emoji]128129[/emoji]

against it.

TV gonna make it seem like everyone is gay when only the small population of the world is gay. kids shouldnt be exposed to something like that at such a young age.

What? How they gonna make kids think everyone in the world is gay if there are way more straight characters on tv then gay ones? That doesn't make sense.

I guess people don't even want there to be gay cartoon characters. They want them to be hidden in real life and fictional life now. They must really freak out if their kids see gay people out in the real world.

My 7 year old cousins fav phrases are "Haaaaaa Gaaaaayyyyyyy" and "Dak" referring to d*ck

literally everything that comes out of his mouth seems sexual in some way and he knows it

He also always says the word pr0nography in a melodic tone singing style of way

Also bunch of other stuff that gets on my nerves. He's only visiting though since he lives on the west coast

But I was shocked when I first heard the things coming out of his mouth :smh:

I was like are you serious   :smh:

Even my parents were questioning it....

But referring to the same sex couples in cartoons I see no problem with it. I doubt they'll be showing two guys making out, but just subliminally two guys/women in a household. Its 2016, same sex stuff is everywhere.

Your lil cousin sounds funny as sht

Seriously I recommend any one read about the history of childcare man to get some perspective. '

Dr. Frederick Wortham went to congress with a study that said Comic Books were the leading cause of juvenile delinquency and sexual violence among boys. "The Seduction of The innocent" he called it

Fast froward to 2016 comics dominate every form of media, books, cartoons, TV shows. Fredrick rolling over in his grave.
