KONG: Skull Island (movie thread) March 10, 2017 - NEW Trailer OUT

Glad they going to origin/Skull Island route, last thing I wanted to see was simp Kong get shot off of the Empire State Building for whatever pretty blonde actress in their mid 20's they woulda hired.

This going to be WAY better + he's not the only monster on the island.....

Wonder how deep they are going to get into the Monarch story too. :nerd:

So is this movie set in the 70s? Peep the soldiers gear, and the camera and clothes

I would be disappointed if it's set in the 70s. Ruins my hopes for semi marvel reunion during the crossover

Yea it's set in the 70's and there isn't going to be any Marvel crossover, they are making a monster universe and have a Godzilla vs Kong move already planned for 2020.

We just received an interesting delivery tied to Legendary and Warner Bros. Pictures‘ upcoming 2017 monster blockbuster and it reveals a new Kong: Skull Island monster… if you know where to look! Accompanied by a letter from MONARCH (that’s the scientific organization that debuted in Gareth Edwards’ 2014 Godzilla), a poster-sized map shows off the layout of Skull Island itself. If you get the map under a black light, however, it offers quite a few top secret notes and a look at an underwater creature! Check out the full version of both maps in the gallery viewer at the bottom of this page. If you’d like to get a really close look at the top secret MONARCH notations, just click the image at the top of this page. You can also check out DiscoverSkullIsland.com for more info!

The letter itself is signed by William Randa, who is played John Goodman in the new film. Will his character help pave the path between both contenders for 2020’s Godzilla vs King Kong? Only time will tell!

So hyped for this, love monster movies Kong/Godzilla especially.

Love that this is more of an origin story and can't wait to see what other monsters are introduced.

With Kong so massive how the hell does he hide when hes bigger than everything there? Must have an ill cave or underground kinda joint.
