i think Mark wants Oakland to give him the land for free and the city pay for the infrastructure.

John Fisher Co-owner (majority owner) took over the stadium search from Wolf. He is looking at the Howard terminal.

Heard he was also checking out Brooklyn Basin as well...

And as critical I am of Vegas and Mark Davis, the A's have been a big part of why we are where we are now...But it does look like the A's are at least looking at other sites in Oakland now, which may be too late, but could be in result to Ronnie Lott and team putting in work on the Coliseum site.

So, a $1.9 Billy stadium, plus millions of tax payer dollars for infrastructure cost on top of that

and people think LV politicians are gettin it done, but don't even realize this is to fatten the pockets of the rich and wealthy and not supporting the community
I thought it was common knowledge that owners get cities to pay for stadium, while they fatten their pockets.
This ins't true and its why I get so frustrated when people point to the city of Oakland for being at fault here, as if the city is breaking precedent or out of touch with social and political norms when they decide not to throw half a billion dollars at a football stadium.

The old financing model for pro sports venues involving significant contributions of public money is archaic and frankly it's extinct when it comes to our countries major metro areas.

Sure, you might be able to depend on a significant contribution in public funds to build a stadium in Phoenix or Minneapolis, but it's never going to happen again in places like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago or the Bay Area.

Oakland doesnt want the raiders as much as it wants the As
Sometimes people take this personal without acknowledging that on an annual basis MLB stadiums provide more revenue for the locality.

I really don't get it when people act like the city of Oakland is operating in bad faith in their negotiations with the Raiders on behalf of the A's.

Having both the franchises is better for the city than having one or the other.

Checking in on the thread now, just want to put this out there: whatever kind of stadium we have in the future, let's hope it looks better than Lucas Oil Stadium. I can see it from my hotel room now in Indianapolis and I need an extra second to remember it's not a barn.

yeah, that fieldhouse look seems to be a popular look out there.

Fans will get bad in the Coliseum if this goes through, not sure what he's thinking about that.

I think he's really bought into the idea of the fans not caring about where we are.
