Think it's time for a poll question about how the move to Vegas affects our allegiance.

I'll start off by saying no move could stop my belonging to the Nation, but supporting a non-California team is not ideal for me.

I get it. Spend other peoples money to build a stadium...Plus I hear the PF Changs in Vegas is fire.

Still think Vegas is a pipe dream, Kronke won't let the Raiders go to LA and Oakland is just slowly chipping away with progress...

Vegas which was never gonna a happen anyway, just hit a major road block at a city council meeting late last night.

Literally as they were trying to push the stadium bill through at 1:00am a report came out that the stadium will require an additional $900M in traffic infrastructure improvements.

Apparently some of that money is earmarked - but scheduled to be funded over the next 30 years not the next 3 years.

This is all according to JT the Brick who I believe lives in Vegas and said he was watching the city council meeting streamed live on 95.7 a few minutes ago.

I think as you posted that it just got approved lol going to senate for a vote now.

Only votes that really matter I think are the NFL Owners...

The state Senate approved it, their legislature changed portions of the bill and approved it, it goes back to the Senate to be approved again after the changes, and then goes to the governor who already supports it. I want to see where the roadblock stops the bill, but I don't. Unless we should expect the Senate to say no to the increased public $? It doesn't seem like that's the case.

My understanding is the $900M earmarked for transportation infrastructure is state money which is what makes it tricky changing the funding schedule.

But yea the second line is why I'm adamant in my belief that Vegas is not happening.  The owners aren't going to let Mark move to Vegas.

They don't want him there, Mark has zero leverage, he doesn't just get to win.

northoaklandfc northoaklandfc you think so? I hope that's the case. When someone like Jerry Jones is trumpeting the Vegas cause it makes me nervous.

Maybe he's simply pushing buttons to get Oakland to give more.

My understanding is Jerry Jones is the only owner who's in Mark's corner idk know why, I remember someone making the point that if the Vegas are in LA/Vegas they obviously can't move to San Antonio. He's influential for sure, but the rest of the owners seem to be pretty unified. I just don't see 2/3rd's backing an owner they don't respect and who can't do anything for them.

edit: not sure what JT the Brick was talking about. The articles published in the last hour don't really mention anything about $900M needing to be shifted.

I think Robert Kraft supported the idea of Vegas, not sure if he mentioned anything about the Raiders though

that's pretty bold to do before the owners vote, wonder if had some assurance that it will go thru.

What bill are they signing? My understanding was, the public financing gets approved and gets put on the Nov. ballot for people to vote on as well? It is tax money that can be spent on the community...

I'm pretty sure Jerry Jones is the only owner on record supporting the NFL in Vegas period, not limited to the Raiders.
If the nfl blocks the Raiders from moving to LV. Mark will sue the nfl.

Were in for a nasty legal battle for sure, one Mark wont win.

Al won his first legal battle with the league decades ago even though he lost the second, but Mark's not Al and in that time the NFL has morphed into a revenue generating behemoth unlike anything else in sports.

I'm sure the commitment of funds is contingent on relocation of the franchise.

i can see Mark winning. Especially with Adleson on his side. He's worth 34 billion. Sue the the league for antitrust. The league wants no part of Mark and Aldeson (deep pockets) in court. Either way the Raiders are getting a new stadium.

Mark Davis sounds like he got his bags already packed.

If NFL doesn't allow him to move, he's gonna feel like such a dumbass.

Wonder if they did a survey or how many season ticket holders they will have.

Those Southwest flights are gonna be on one.

This is a terrible idea. Rather move to LA. Who is in this man's ear if any.

Does Mark even own bags [emoji]129300[/emoji]
He'll just load up the mini van
