Go ahead, make your swamp joke: But as of this writing, it feels hotter in Washington than any other big city in the United States. The temperature at 11:45 AM was about 94 degrees—hot enough to top any city outside Las Vegas, where it was 97 degrees—but the heat index in DC is even more alarming.

The heat index in Washington was measured at 108 degrees at 12:15 AM, making it the most oppressive in any major US city. And it may get even worse this afternoon if the air temperature creeps into three-digit territory. The mercury might be a few ticks higher in Nevada, but as your retired relatives will tell you, that’s a dry heat.

Washington Is Currently the Hottest City in the Country

DC, so hot right now.

This weekend was unbearable. I feel bad for anyone who had something going on outside.

Our neighborhood pool water was warm, so you couldn't even properly cool off.

Just gotta get thru this week....

Says something when you're actually looking forward to the temps "dipping" to the low 90's

Walking around late into the night and still sweating this past weekend. It was hot and sticky.

I know folks wanna do sightseeing and other things due to school being out/vacations/etc....but honestly, DC is one of the worst spots to go to in the summertime.

Now, DC in the fall... >>>>>>>>

Yo I got back to VA from FL today confused as hell, it's hotter up here than it was down there

It was a legit 85 at 3 in the morning on Friday :x

Outside of work I haven't left the house before dark since Thursday

You can see Cincinnati on that map.

The humidity is unreal.

Heat index yesterday was about 110.

BTW the driving in DC is worse then the weather.

The speed plus your stop light locations ****** me all the way up.

  yea if you aren't use to it they will throw you off. Seen a dude run a couple lights yesterday.

I'm so glad I don't have to drive through the city after work. Just hop on 395 down the street.

Major key right here , the fall the best season

I'm scared to find out what my electricity bill is going to be this month.

I had lunch with my co-workers and dudes insisted on sitting outside even though none of them looked comfortable.

I don't even wanna know what 137 degrees feels like:x fall/winter can't come any faster.

Don't hold your breath they are saying the warm weather is gonna last until October.
We don't even have a real fall lol it last like 2 weeks then it's in the 40s lol
