I say it every time. If I want real Mexican food I'm going to Mom's or Grandma's house. Maybe one of the hundreds of taco stands. Vernon and Fig, Avalon and 104th get my money now and again.


If I just want a good *** meal on my lunch break? I'm going to Chipotle. It's like being mad at Taco bell because it isn't authentic.

Never been to califas, but from what i hear, texas mexican food is way better then cali mexican food.

Im not talkin tex-mex, i mean mexican mexican.


They said the food is different over there, and better here.

I just wana try some aguachiles, you dont find that it texas.
 
As a Mexican I've given up on Mexican food in NYC. I had to try other cultures. Which is fine, Mexicqn food here is garbage and over priced. They don't marinate.
 
use to eat there when they first opened one near my work
decent and convenient, but i wouldn't go there if i had other options

If it's what I'm thinking of, I think it's a chain....Ate there a few times, or at least a restaurant of the same name, in Philly.

Not saying it's bad, but it's far from the best Mexican food I've had.
 
Authentic food made by the people > mass produced chain restaurants

I never understood the hate. I never once walked into Chipotle thinking I was about to grub on some authentic Mexican food :lol:

I walk in, get my chicken bowl with fajitas and dip out. Just had chipotle last week :pimp:
