MJ Speaking Out vol: Chamillionaire still not happy.

Duh. I never said anything about changing police brutality. I SPECIFICALLY mentioned having an impact and influence on a particular demographic.

I didn't say athletes can stop police brutality or end racism.
my point still stands that you  overestimate just how much influence sports  stars and entertainers have. yeah they can push products . You think they have a lot more power then they have. i have no problem with athletes speaking they mind if they feel strongly about something. More power to them . People are allowed they opinions.  To say they are obligated , nah. They Arent. To say its going to make a huge difference , no i dont buy it. i respectfully disagree with you

They arent leaders. Pushing products dont make them leaders. They just athletes and entertainers. Fans are also very fickle.  theyll turn on they fav celebrities and entertainers quickly.

Unlike mike who had his lawyers draft somethung up, this guy just answered eloquently off cuff

I don't personally know anyone who still wears Jordans in 2016, and this includes people of all ethnicities and backgrounds. The only ones I would still wear are the 1s and 3s, if the 1site weren't $300 pieces of plastic and if the 3s didn't become clunky looking over the years

This is definitely a marketing stunt by Jordan

You living under a rock my guy.

I live in NYC and people from every walk of life wear Jordans.

I Bankers, Artists, Students, Delivery Men, Construction Workers, Drug Dealers, IG Models even Homeless Men.

I'm down for ******** on the type of person MJ has shown himself to be but don't doubt the product, there's a reason it made him a billionaire.

Son has to be BSing.

More people wear Jordans now than in late 90's or early 00's. It was mainly black males wearing 'em back then. Now everybody is a Jordan head. All races, all ages, males and females.

Props to richard sherman.
That was a fire answer

There was nothing fire about his answer. He said what they wanted to hear.

And his comments about Black Lives Matter was ignorant. Did he say some cops are bad like he said some Black Lives Matters were? Then he doesn't address why it's called BLM and instead turns it in to ALM.

Then he came with we need to fix ourselves first. As if you can only address one thing at a time, and people haven't been out in communities for decades. Then he doesn't address the cause of our problem, he hints around to it and says we need to move on.

Fire? It was a bunch of ********

An example of not wanting an athlete speaking out, Richard Sherman and what he's been preaching for the past year.

People want athletes to speak when they think they'll agree. It's dangerous when they say stuff like this.

"What is your opinion of the Black Lives Matter movement?

It’s hard to formulate an opinion and generalize because they have several different messages. Some of them are peaceful and understandable and some of them are very radical and hard to support. Any time you see people who are saying, ‘Black Lives Matter,’ and then saying it’s time to kill police, then it is difficult to stand behind that logic. They are generalizing police just like they are asking police not to generalize us. It is very hypocritical. So, in that respect, I find it difficult to fully support that movement."

What the hell is Sherman talking about right here? BLM ain't no radical movement.

Son started getting that endorsement money. Them people probably told him to chill.

It's Titanium Tea, you should've just scrolled past him

Mike shoulda stayed quiet in all honesty. If he was going to donate, he should've done so without the statement. Regardless I commend him. Yeah the statement was drawn up by some agent and yes there is most likely ulterior motives behind it but whether Mike said anything or not our community will never hate him. In contrast Mike isn't the messiah that's gonna unify us all. Like mentioned before Mike is chillin in country clubs betting Ferrari money on golf games. He's oblivious to what's really going on out hear because he's in a different world. He made a decision to pledge that money. And he did it to where neither side feels neglected. 2 million dollars more than I've pledged to give...

And more people are wearing Air Jordan's now than ever. Nike will drop 500,000- 1,000,000 pairs of the holiday release Air Jordan 11. I don't think Nike made 1,000,000 pairs of 11's during its original production run and this is during the height of Michael Jordan's popularity ANDDD playing career...

this.

Johnny Carson warned Jay Leno & David Letterman not to be partisan so not to lose
1/2 your Audience.

Jordan is following a winning business decision by staying completely neutral.

If he gonna tap dance like that, he might as well cut the dreads off.

You would think after all the racism son received after their initial run to the Super Bowl, he would know better.

But hey he also went to Stanford, maybe he been practicing his minstrel dancing for a while.

I hate people who go after the low hanging fruit, because they know they won't suffer or experience backlash.

When he was angry Richard Sherman screaming at poor Erin Andrews who went to defend him? He's trying to change his image, now that he has these endorsements and corporations behind him.

:pimp: My favorite athlete of all time! :

I'm proud of you, Mike!

Haters gon' hate and talk. None of those haters have donated anything to help our law enforcement or disenfranchised Black people, so don't pay them any mind.

The way his response read made it seem as if it was drafted by an expert PR consultant.

Wouldn't be surprised if he gave no damns.

I wish Jordan would have spoke up before discrimination caused him to lose money by moving the All Star game.

If the Allstar game would stay in Nort Carolina, MJ probably would have remained silent.

Props to him for trying to make a change but the timing seems kinda forced.

So is the all star game now going back to his hometown after his comment? [emoji]129300[/emoji]

How does this make his shoe sales go back up? [emoji]129300[/emoji]

Found a Jordan fan^ living under a rock? Look at how few people wear Jordans these days compared to 90s until the mid 2000s where almost everyone wore them. I live in Cali hit up NYC every year and do not see many people wearing them , at least in the places I go to.

Either that or the type of people I interact with or the areas I stay in have COMPLETELY changed in the past 10 years. The only place I even hear Jordans being discussed is here on NT.

Whenever I hear people talking about sneakers in real life these days, it's mostly about runners or whatever Kanye wore most recently.

Bruh go to ATL...hell! Just go to Hartsfield, lol n it's J's nonstop. ATL and the rest of the south alone can hold Mike down [emoji]128175[/emoji]

Hella faithful vanity slaves
