LMFAO "Worst performing stock last year" is a direct quote from a complex article from someone ELSE who doesn't know how the stock market works.

Stock is based on the supply and demand of stock, not how much basketball shorts cost. Right now, adidas and UA stock has a higher demand, but nike owns the market

go read this............Although i doubt you`d understand anything said here.

First off, don't talk to me like you know me. Its hard for some people to have civil conversations in here when they encounter someone who doesn't agree. I refereneed two separate things. And you're blinded by brand loyalty if you don't see they are slipping. Does that mean they're in trouble? No. You are right they still dominate the market. But if you think people aren't trending away from Nike, you're wrong. And look at all sports - UA and Adidas have younger demographics interested in them. I believe 7 of the top 10 NBA Draft picks signed with Adidas. When has that happened in recent memory?

If you want to discuss things, I'm all for it. But if you want to be a petulant dismissive child then I'll let you live in your world where you know everything and we are all wrong.

FOH with that reply lol, I understand a lot of things but one of them isn't you man.

You do realize that what you've posted is Nike's spin to keep investors from panicking, right? They fired their head of basketball, and Phil Knight stepped down. This is reason for the stock to be a bit unsteady, unsure, along with Footlocker taking losses due to Nike shoes taking a dip in popularity. Things are about to get rocky for Nike if they do not pay attention to trends.

I find that very hard to believe - the LBJ line has historically had Nike branding on it, but the last few years have been a bit too much. Have they opted to go with a smaller swoosh on the ankle or heel?

My man, I hear you on the sock-like uppers. They go with that 'ish because it allows for a seamless construction that costs less. I wish they'd go back to the 90s design methodology too with a proper tongue and designs that had overlays and panels. This seamless, sock-like crap has been going on for too long now, consumers want change.

My point is that nike owns the market and will own it for the foreseeable future. ........Him quoting a blog about their stock performance has nothing to do with that.

Exactly the styling was wayyyy better back then and another reason nike sigs havent sold as well as other brands is that the look of them are too hard to pull off casually I buy a lot cause I play basketball too but for the people that dont the nike sigs other than kobe and kyrie are just soooo hard to pull off casually and thats really hurting nike these sock like upper are annoying look at the kd 9 as an example lol great shoe for ball but casually slippig that on and off is a no go lol, as for these Lebrons this will be the worst pair by far in his line and thats a fact I expect even slower sales than the 13

Yes it does. Forcasting of the stock performance may not accurately dictate how sales may go, but trends through sales actvity, how well new product is received, can predict a brands future, coming quarters. That said, Nike is one bad quarter or two of completely losing their largest margin. After that, one rumor of the possible poor reception of their upcoming product could send their shareholders, and big box partners, in a different direction.

I bet this adidas shoes are they prototype for the Lebron 14

those might not be the 14s, but this man knows his stuff. For anyone not ignorant to do some research Adidas along with Under armor has been killin in sales for the past year. With the emergence of Steph curry and nike Price hike, people are looking for alternatives for something with good performance.

Adidas IMO is where its at right now. Im a big fan of the alphabounce, crazy explosives and crazy light. and the price points are right. Yes i know lebron and kd have dropped there price. but for people not ignorant go do some research you will see

Nike had to drop the price so they could sell, the kd's woulda been 180+ and so the lebrons but nike cant push units at a retail price like that. The Nike B ball line cant be rocked casually and adidas has the casual game on lock right now (NMD, UltraBoost,Tubular,Y-3, etc.)

As far as casual wear goes, don't Jordan Brand retros kill Adidas in sales?

Adidas has some great models like UBs and the NMDs but they're playing this limited game to build hype on good cws. As a result, the cws of these models that are widely available tend to be pretty bad.

Please tell me where I asked if they sell out or not-I was referring to number of pairs sold. The 72-10s sold a million pairs, which is a record for a sneaker release-is Adidas selling 1 million pairs of an UB release or NMD release?

well that's one shoe that sold well versus a line up of shoes that sell well, both adidas and nike pushed 2 million units their first quarter of the 2016 fiscal year. For a company that has 80% of the market they should not be pushing the same numbers unit wise as company that only has 13% of the market. Adidas is outperforming what they were expected to do which leaves nike having to gamble on hopeful big numbers on holiday sales from jordans. With a company that has as much pull as nike they should be destroying adidas and UA in footwear sales which is not the case unfortunately
