2 pair First day cop on discount ...
Bold prediction. In two weeks we will get a pic of the 14s. I just hope it's comfortable and try to incorporate something from one of the older pairs. Idk if anyone else had this problem but after about a few hours maybe 3-5 of wearing my 13s my feet start to get real tight on the sides.

laugh.gif ever since that tweet about D Rose's injury and the backlash after it in 2012, he's been keeping a low profile.

I enjoyed when he himself gave us the break down of the LeBron shoe in the fall. I don't think it's time for a new designer either.

It is time for a new designer, someone with some fresh new ideas, someone who can connect with the now. Adidas has done it, they uave a new young man over there who redid the crazy light boost line. UA has a new identity in Curry, which pushes them ahead of Nike in relevancy. A new design team would not hurt, but keeping what is there now really does not help their cause. Make good shoes, because they aren't coming from whoever that designer is right now.

I didnt mind the lebron 13 elite. If the 14 is like that thats okay

Ok, imma just say one thing and then I'm out on this adidas v Nike discussion. Most of the shoes I own are Nike, and I'm not against them in any way. If Nike makes a great product, then fantastic. It helps the sneaker market (which we are all very passionate about) and everything is all good. The problem is, Nike pretty much had a monopoly on the market from the 90's to a year or two ago (and they're still the best selling brand rn). Since pretty much nobody was buying anything but Nike, they could release terrible product at ludicrous prices and we just had to grin and bear it, because nobody really was challenging them. Now, since adidas and Under Armour are offering better performing shoes at lower prices, they are becoming prevalent in the sneaker society (UA mostly because of Curry). Now, I hate Curry as much as the next guy, and LeBron and Jordan will be two of my favorite players until the day I die, but NT seems to be a massive group of anti-hypebeasts (except the adidas threads). It seems like most people on the Nike threads think that anything not endorsed by Nike or Jordan is exclusively for little kids who only buy hyped releases, and therefore aren't real fans. It's cool to have brand loyalty and all, but there's also nothing wrong with buying a pair of hyped shoes. I myself would buy a pair of 350s if I had the chance because I think it's a good looking shoe, it's a cleaner, slimmer Roshe with better materials. Same deal with the lillard, in comparison to the Kyrie 2, it's a shoe that's more easily worn off court (mostly because of the strap) and I don't think anyone can argue that the lillard is one of the best performing models out right now, (for a better price too). I guess my point is, you don't have to be an adidas or Nike fanboy, I think right in the middle is where most sneakerheads should be, and I don't want these threads to turn into mindless arguments over brand loyalty.

Everybody's sayin what's not for him, but everything I'm not made me everything I am.

i mess with all brands that's why i stay out of these arguments, but i've never seen so many people cape for adidas like how they are now

the adidas eqt basketball was my shoe back in the day smokin.gif

This is also Nike's fault though-they became complacent and some of the designs of their most expensive flagship shoes were really bad (Kobe 10, KD 8 and Lebron 13 immediately come to mind). None of these sneakers were exciting at all and are all ultimately forgettable.

Also, Boost has been around for a few years now and Nike literally has no tech to compete with it. They just keep repackaging Zoom and Lunar and reselling it for some reason.

agree with everything except da fact that purple Kobe X's are fire.

I've been a Nike loyalist all my life and will always love the brand, but I recently started getting interested in Adidas. The energy return of boost is very impressive. It's the first sneaker-tech that got me hyped in a long time. You get a bit of this with full length zoom, but the effect is not as dramatic. Plus the few shoes that do have full length zoom tend to be very expensive and it's not included with any of the class lifestyle silhouettes. The Adidas tubular line is also interesting from a fashion perspective in a way that none of the newish Nike stuff is.

Nike and Jordan are no longer the hype brands, but I think this is going to be great for sneakerheads. You already see them dropping the prices on the top end basketball models by $25-30. Hopefully next we can get some relief from the absurd prices they charge for Jordan retros. Ideally I'd also love to see full length zoom getting put into way more shoes, especially classics like dunks and AF1s.

Boost has been around since 2012, but no one paid any attention to it. Pure Boosts were on clearance for $20 at Footlocker at one point. Everyone was dogging adidas basketball thanks to D-Rose's constant knee injuries too. But then Kanye signs with adidas, builds the hype, and then releases Boost mixed in with Primeknit, (basically a rip-off of Flyknit) and now Adidas is great? Lol. Ok.

I'm happy there's competition though. It's caused Nike to lower their prices. However, if I'm choosing equipment to work out in/play in, I'll gladly take Nike all day, every day, twice on Sunday.

Lol...yea the reason every person reviewing the boost lineup is only saying how amazing there are because of kanye....yup you nailed it hahahaha...enjoy your bliss.

I did not start wearing adidas until boost because they were always narrow and uncomfortable to me but the new adidas stuff is really taking over. Nike has nothing to match it especially at the price point. I do like my kobe xi and KD 9 arent bad but thats about it. I plan on giving the hyoerdunk flyknit a try buy at $200 there is no way u can justify that price vs any boost model.

Also primeknit being a rip off to the plasic underlay flyknit?? Hahahaha...no point in a logical discussion with you. Continue your bliss

They shoulda gave Diana Taurasi a pair to wear in the olympics.

I think I'll start caring about LeBrons again when they start retroing the line, unfortunately...

If they bring back the AZGs with original materials much like remastered Js, oooohhhweeeee I'm in. They will probably charge $175 for them but the nostalgia alone would be worth it - even though I was able to get them for $89.99 back in the day nerd.gif

With LeBron getting older and PG getting his own sig, who do you think the next sig athlete will be?

Rumored to be some kind of wear test for the 14's, may be final product, idk

Hard to say. There is definitely nobody in the pipeline that is remotely close to Lebron caliber, and the most interesting guys are signed with other brands. Ben Simmons has great potential as a signature athlete based on his handles and passing ability, but he needs to learn to shoot and become a bona fide superstar first.

I agree. That's why I said it's crazy if you think Adidas and UA won't start playing catch up. My nephew and his friends are in 6th grade and they only want Currys. Obviously that's a very small, unscientific study of that demo, but it appears Nike doesn't have the stronghold on that age group now like they did when I was that age.

I'd like to see someone like Porzingis get a sig because I feel like he could crossover sell crazy in Europe as well as get some sales here, plus it'd be different, but I doubt it happens. Maybe if he goes off next year but would be cool.
