The Official Nike LeBron 14 Thread. Retail $175

Can ya'll shut up about the NIKE on the strap already. Seriously who cares. That is the least important thing to focus on.

If you want NIKE on the strap then go buy some LB2.

calm down my man... welcome to NT where people nitpick every aspect of every shoe. nothing is ever done right.

I just pictured it with NIKE bc axelrod initially said it had it. I think it looks better

I don't like the way the Swoosh faces looking from the side. I don't like the huge NIKE either. Rather have the strap blank or the LJ crown logo there. Just put the Swoosh on the toe box. Sorry if I can't have my opinion but deal with it

Call me crazy, and just hear me out lol, but what about this shoe can Nike market as "something special" for $175. Not talking about retros because thets pretty much feeding off people's nostalgia and another topic.I mean, I don't think it's ugly or amazing looking (just my opinion). Like the 11-13, I see them saying the armorposite or whatever it is these days and the pods as "targeted cushion", but what did they do with these that is so amazeb@//s?

the black colourway is much better, and since nike gave up on the kobe line, i was thinking about trying these out.

how are the "pods" on the court? i'd imagine it's pretty responsive.

The Nike Lebron XIV features Maximum volume Zoom Air units for the most articulated response in a LeBron shoe.
A Dual-zone composite upper that utilizes engineered laser perforation, which fits closely to the foot for an initiative fit and sleek aesthetic as well as a dynamic midfoot strap, utilizing auxetic shapes for a natural stretch that helps lock the foot into place. The XIV was designed with performance as the main focus and it is the first Nike basketball shoe that utilizes zero inspiration regarding design.

Nike can slap the LBJ logo and branding and automatically charge a premium. Same with their other sig athletes, slap kyries logo on, kd or kobe on the product and upcharge the consumer. Could be shoes or apparel. I don't really have a problem with it, it is what it is

Here's the thing. Shoes don't even need to have an "inspired" design. That's just shoe jargon Nike uses to attract consumers. Just make a good looking, original basketball shoe that performs well too. They seemed to have no problem with this in the past and now they're phoning it in.
