I see these being a hit in Asia, China to be specific. Nike knows what they're doing. Sales are the proliority. Nike sigs are like franchise films, not cult classics. Get one out and worry about the next one, as long as you're in the black ''tis what it is.

Interesting way to put it. You could say that the LeBron line has become the Transformers of the shoe franchise: some cool explosions, a couple pretty faces, but no real substance in the way of plot.

After the Lebron X everything went downhill. I skipped the 11 and 12 and only copped two 13s because of outlet prices. The 14 has me interested in the line again.

I don't follow your logic coppin 13's and skipping on da 12's when da 12's were da "better version" of 13's and were just as abundant in da outlets.

i can see the blacks being that everyday sweatpant sneaker.

problem with that is Nike has "sweatpants" nikes in identical colors that are 70 bucks...

to da casual buyer, I can't distinguish why Joe Shmoe gonna drop a extra 100+ on a shoe that isn't that much better aesthetically than nike's mid priced offerings.

i see both sides of da issue.

on one hand, they're "safe" for casual appeal, especially after da hidden lace debacle that was da XIII's...

on another hand, and this critique applies to Nikes across da board in da contemporary era... everything look like da same ish in regards to da sig shoes and da overall design language Nike uses now...

its when designs in da 80's all bleed over together...u look at da 90's and everything stood on it's own, as far as da flagship shoes compared to da rest of da lineup...

every single shoe in this ad campaign stood on its own.

Nike is missing that.

but da 14's in a compelling colorway will be bought, da "foundation" of da design is solid albeit, safe.
