Yes, but not just because he was homesick as Helton explained it. The vague explanation I'm reading is "Yes, he was homesick but there's also a discipline aspect to this. Helton is trying to be less of the nice guy and regain control of the team."

I'm guessing that's where the "anyone who wants to leave I'll sign the papers" rumor came from. The way I'm interpreting it, sounds like he got into a verbal confrontation with one of the staff, threatened to leave after, and was told to leave.

Is EJ Price the kid from Ga.?

His recruitment was all over the place iirc

Not surprised to hear about Cook being homesick, would venture a guess that a lot of kids feel that way. His recruitment was odd to say the least though, so I wouldn't be surprised at anything that happens w/ that

Yeah he and his mommy were quite the chore to keep up with

Yeah EJ is from GA. There's been some talk of him being in contact with Georgia coaches AFTER signing with USC and SC's coaches being irritated by it. He pretty publicly followed a bunch of Georgia coaches on Twitter

A Scout writer said a bunch of SEC coaches dropped EJ in recruiting due to a lot of demands he was making and what they felt to be a phony recruiting process. That he was leading them on/leveraging them against each other to get promises, all the while leaning SC.

Keyshawn on the radio this morning:
Didn't want Chip Kelly

Didn't want USC to become Oregon

Talked with Nick Saban and Nick said he had to adjust...meaning being open to having a mobile QB..because most SEC he was facing had one and was killing his defense.

He wants a mobile QB..want Jalen Greene to get a shot at QB

Wants to give Helton time till the end of the year.

Interviewed Chris Peterson multiple times

Administration needs to change its outlook of the football program. Calls them "USC Mafia".
He was one of the dudes that insisted they hire Helton!

I can see CP turning 'SC down. Would hope that the 'SC admin isn't dumb enough to turn down CP should he want to go there. But then again they seem to be full steam ahead w/ this 'USC Family" stuff so who knows.

So Peterson interviewed Numerous times and didn't get an offer or turned USC down?
Haden extended an offer but insisted that he - Haden - be allowed to choose his assistants. Specifically, that Petersen keep Orgeron on as defensive coordinator for recruiting continuity and so as not to upset the fan base and players. Petersen felt it wasn't a serious offer. Side note, this also plays into why Orgeron got so upset with the Sark hiring. He was willing to stay if it was a big name head coach coming in but felt insulted when they hired Sark over him and then asked him to stay.

Another dude that it came out was in play with them last year was Bob Stoops, but then Oklahoma went on their run, made the playoffs, and Stoop told them no thanks. He's the huge name coach that Colin Cowherd outed.

Yeah, Peterson marches to his own drum but if he interviewed NUMEROUS times, no way was that just to hear them out. And if USC, Turned him away...

Either way, makes very little sense

USC didn't turn him away but their offer was bull ****. A lot of people, myself included, when hearing that feel it was Haden sabotaging that hiring so he could get Sark in there.

Don't forget this was the same cycle where they refused to wait two-three weeks for Jack Del Rio.

Other names from pre Helton hiring: Justin Fuente interviewed a couple times for the job and told people he thought it was a farce and no one but Helton had a chance. USC called him weeks before they announced Helton to tell him he was out of the running.

Herman's agent called to inquire about the job and see if SC was interested and was told "no thanks, Tom Herman isn't experienced enough as a HC to be considered for the job."

Then they hired Helton [emoji]128514[/emoji]

dacomeup dacomeup Rivals insider talked about the Jamel Cook rumor without saying his name. Said "there's another transfer coming."

All those sites are talking about how all the defensive players are upset with the rotations and that's an issue for the freshmen.

I take that back. It makes sense. USC just has no clue what they are doing . Yikes.

Yea, based on what I heard, not surprised. It's not like I have any football sources either

. This is just someone who knows him personally and doesn't give a **** about football, so would have no reason to lie. Things could change, though. Maybe they win Friday and momentum swings back to him wanting to be there. Seems like the wheels could really fly off there soon, if not.

Chip needs to head back to college and get his mojo back..

Dude at least tried stuff in his first year with the team and during preseason.. then went with the same stuff over and over his last 2 years with th3 eagles

Like i know he wants to be versatile with whatevrr personnel he had out therd but figured he would be the 1 dude not so ridged

Like we, eagles, had 3 good pass catching TEs.. who all do different stuff.. so figured we would get a ton of that especially with how bad our WRs were.. then you lineup sproles as the back for another recieving option

Dont remember seeing that once in season.. hell trey burton barely even got offensive snaps.. hell ertz got nowhere near the snaps he should have

Just kept going 3 wrs

On Wednesday, Randolph County sheriff's deputies received a report of a "possible relationship" between Kiante Christopher Enis, 19, of the 200 block of East Main Street in Saratoga, and "a child 13 years or younger."

According to a press release issued by the sheriff's department, Enis was interviewed by investigators and "admitted to a consensual sexual encounter that occurred on at least two occasions in Randolph County."
Apparently today is his 19th birthday.
