Espn-ish stat, heading into week 7 in the past two years, only two teams ranked in the top 6 have made the playoffs FSU (2014), Clemson (2015).

I have my doubts about Washington running the table, but if the top 3 remains intact, with a one loss Michigan (or Ohio State) after rivalry week, I'm concerned UW loses out. Maybe it sounds crazy right now, but the Pac12 is weak as hell and when you have the human element involved in the playoff process, I can see a one loss Michigan or OSU getting in before an undefeated UW.

I don't know...Huskies probably drop one at some point though.

Undefeated UW gets in the playoffs, imo

Esp if no other undefeated team is out there (like Baylor, the powers that be aren't gonna want to put them in there) lol

I have a hard time believing they would keep an undefeated Washington out over a one loss team. Michigan and Ohio state have to play each other. Bama and Texas will have to play each other. If UW loses though, I think they are done.

If UW loses, I agree. Texas playing 'Bama may be irrelevant. MIchigan playing Ohio State is exactly my point. Those two are clearly great football teams at this point and if the loser only loses by a FG or so, then how do people not feel robbed of getting a Meyer or Harbaugh team into the playoff at the expense of an undefeated Washington in a very very weak conference.

Their best win, thus far, is Stanford, but they were overrated from the get and may finish with a couple more losses. Run the table in the Pac12 and the second best team is probably WSU that lost to Eastern Washington and Boise.

I wondered what would happen if UW loses in conference title game? And I don't see BIG 12 getting in, I think WVU and Baylor are both going to lose (multiple times). That would leave SEC champ, B1G champ, ACC champ, and then who? I guess it would be between Louisville and loser of Mich/tOSU

Still lots of football left to be played though :pimp:

Yeah I cant see Mich and OSU getting in with a loss that late if Udub is still undefeated at that point

I'd be more worried about two SEC teams or maybe Louisville to jump

Sumlin gonna mess around and steal Jacob Phillips tomorrow?

Then flip Gumbs from OU on his California road trip this weekend...? :nerd:

Faucets got cranked back on after the 6-0 start?

If that scenario happens, if A&M or Bama runs the table after losing to the other, I think they'll get first preference, Bama especially. tOSU/Mich loser will have played literally the week before. Louisville would be the other team, but they need FSU to finish strong and Houston to not have another loss.

Ah yeah forgot about AM/Bama potentially only having one loss

I don't see my Aggies with only one loss. We'll blow the Ole Miss or LSU game, or both. Battered Aggie syndrome at its finest :pimp:

Would be really interesting between a 1 loss A&M or Bama and a 1 loss Michigan or Ohio State though.

Well, Louisville plays Houston so they're gonna need Houston to take at least one more loss lol

A source close to Barnett tells 247Sports that he enrolled Thursday at Palomar Junior College in California, where he will attend school through the spring semester, which ends May 27. From there, Barnett, a class of 2015 five-star recruit per the 247Sports Composite, will return to the FBS ranks of college football to play most of the 2017 season.
Texas A&M has already contacted Barnett directly, 247Sports learned Tuesday — an intriguing subplot given the Aggies and Alabama share SEC West real estate.

Jeff Steinberg, who coached Barnett in high school, told 247Sports in a separate conversation that Pac-12 schools Oregon, UCLA, Washington and Cal had spoken with him about his former pupil.

Michigan State, Miami and Florida have also expressed interest.

"I could see him narrowing it down fairly quickly," Steinberg said of Barnett's recruitment, "and trying to make a decision by Christmastime."

Now that Barnett is enrolled at Palomar, any college is free to speak to him, including SEC programs (players who transfer directly from one four-year institution to another are almost always barred from moving in-conference). As a 4-2-4 transfer, Alabama has no control of where Barnett ends up. It’s a massive loophole that 247Sports reported on when Barnett first announced his intent to transfer.

He's not gonna go to UCLA or Washington to sit behind cali guys he feels he was ranked ahead of in his class.

Oregon was neck and neck with Bama for him but you've gotta figure with Helfrich under fire that's not the safest place to go if you want a guaranteed job. Also, Herbert.

I'm not sure what Cal looks like behind Webb but if he's staying in the PAC it'd probably be there, and if not expect him to go somewhere he thinks he could start and win right away at.

If A&M takes a transfer it won't be until after Mond enrolls in January, and I would think it'd be Jarrett Stidham...

Barnett should go to Colorado. Liufau is a senior, right? Montez is meh.

Wherever he goes, it has to be a guarantee starting spot.

He's not beating Montez out in Colorado, man. He messed up buying Kiffin's snake oil and going to Alabama.

It's one of the reasons Najee Harris and Tua aren't being secretive about looking elsewhere. Bama's depth chart is a monster.
