"I really feel with this program, and where David Shaw has it, and the quality of the coaches with Coach Bloom and the defensive coordinator (Lance Anderson), and the athletes they’re getting -- you look at if it’s Foster and Walker, you got Colby (Parkinson), you got Davis Mills and hopefully Connor Weddington -- there’s a real chance that they can win a national championship. They have the horses to do it. This is not like, ‘Hey let’s go some place and we got a great degree opportunity.’ I think they have an opportunity to win a national championship just as easy as he went to any other school we looked at. I really feel that."

Bama offering/going after last minute RB's

Just stay out of Fort Myers & Va. please

Do they really need to though?  Even if Bo leaves they're still returning Jacobs, Harris, and BJ Emmons who was a high 4*.  I'd use that offer somewhere else and bring in 3 next class.

this is why Udub fans are clueless

"It's common knowledge that there is only 2 cities in the PAC that Championship caliber football is possible. Someone in his inner circle needs to tell him Stanford not on the list because no one cares about Stanford Football including their fanbase."

Yeah, clearly 60 plus wins, 3 pac 12 championships and 3 rose bowls in 6 years is not championship caliber football

Lol you would think they didn't claim other teams championships with that comment

The more I watch of the draft eligible corners, the more I like the 2 UF CBs over the rest..

Am I crazy?

And man it's going be interesting to see what Ross and Sidney end up with height and weight wise

Ross is 5'9".

They'll prob give him the manziel boost and say he's 5'11" but height shouldn't matter so much with him

Khalil Rodgers grad transferring - has a toddler on the east coast he wants to be closer to.

Chris Hawkins staying - was going to transfer to ND but says he can't reasonably leave now with SC riding so high.

Damien Mama was encouraged to stay in school by NFL evaluators before the Rose Bowl but graded out so well in the game that rumor is he already signed with an agent. (He had the 3rd highest offensive grade in the game behind Juju and Chad Wheeler.)

Juju has a high evaluation, possibly 1st round. He wants to stay but people are pushing him to leave.

Adoree told people he wanted to stay and was leaning towards it (seems like a lot of the upperclassmen - Adoree, Juju, and the grad transfers - talked about coming back and making a NC run) but word is now that the Rose Bowl injury scared him and he doesn't want to risk getting seriously hurt.

One good game isn't enough to change your grade like that

Especially when PSU's IDL isn't anything special.

Clemson's secret weapon: a former construction worker who rebuilt the recruiting department. http://nyti.ms/2icAbLd

Yeah everyone talking about Mama are saying he was basically like "**** it" and may just take the chance. It sounds like there's familial pressures for him to go pro now and 4th-5th round money is better than no money.

SAN ANTONIO-The Georgia Bulldogs are heading towards their best or one of their best recruiting classes on paper maybe ever with the 2017 recruiting class.

The biggest questions in the month of January will be who fills the finals spots for the Dawgs?

According to the National Recruiting Director Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports Georgia could be in much better shape for a top target that most think.

Wiltfong told Dawgs247 this week he has spoken with multiple sources recently about the recruitment of 4-Star WR Nico Collins from Alabama.

Most feel it is down to Georgia and Michigan according to those sources and a trusted source close to this feels like Georgia is the team that Collins will sign with in the end according to Wiltfong.

Collins is set to visit Florida State on January 13th, Alabama on Jan 21st and UGA on the last weekend before NSD Jan 28th

Well they were the best CB duo in the country, so I can't be but so surprised.

And I think the height will be important, but actually running the speed they think he plays at will be the most important thing for Ross

Apparently Florida's OL coach who was originally hired by muschamp might go to South Carolina now. They have convinced themselves their RB coach will move to LB coach and then locksley will come in at RB coach, Mac will fire their TE coach who's coached with him for awhile and cristobal will make a less than lateral move from bama OT/TE to just a TE coach at Florida and then Jeff stoutland will leave the Philadelphia eagles whom he left bama for to coach OL at Florida.

SAN ANTONIO - Fontana (Calif.) Summit five-star running back Stephen Carr told 247Sports on Wednesday during media at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl that he watched the Trojans epic 52-49 Rose Bowl win over Penn State with fellow commits Hunter Echols and Brett Neilon.

"I can't say the rest because they're silent," Carr said.

One perhaps safe to assume was there, the nation's No. 6 safety Bubba Bolden out of Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman, a one-time USC commit that flirted with Ohio State and Arizona State late in the process but is projected by the 247Sports Crystal Ball to land back in the class. Bolden is announcing during Saturday's NBC broadcast of the Army Bowl between those three schools.

Who else could Carr be referring too?

Perhaps the nation's No. 3 receiver Joseph Lewis, or the No. 8 offensive tackle Austin Jackson. I have both predicted to USC. Five-star offensive tackle Foster Sarell and five-star cornerback Darnay Holmes both have USC as one of their respective finalists heading into his Saturday announcement as well. Top247 defensive tackle Jay Tufele, athlete Greg Johnson and safety KJ Jarrell are a few others thinking strongly about the Trojans.

"I think the USC 2017 recruiting class is going to come together swell," Carr said.

Clay Helton and his staff are currently sitting on the nation's No. 16 class, good for No. 1 in the Pac 12.

Scoring the final 17 points in the Rose Bowl certainly isn't going to hurt USC's close.

"The game was pretty crazy man," Carr said. "Me and all my USC commits were going pretty crazy in the room."

Thanks Dre.

It's not a secret that Najee has told all schools he wants to be 3 and done to better his family/community situation. Apparently both Michigan and Alabama have told him he'd be the starter if he comes there.

Per source, Minnesota has reached out to Navy’s Ken Niumatalolo. http://bit.ly/14IQx2Y
That would be a great hire.

AP Sources with @ralphDrussoAP: Minnesota reached out to PSU OC Joe Moorhead about head job but was told Moorhead wasn't interested.
Does a 247 subscription give access to all boards?
Yep
