Definitely too young, I pegged them for 3-4 losses this year. Hopefully we get a new OC
Y'all got a bright future hopefully we can make this a rivalry game again... imo sparty is our biggest rival I don't consider losing every year much of a rivalry
Michigan leads the series by 10 wins, and prior to OSU's 15 year run of winning 13 of 15, Michigan had run of winning 12 of 15 against better OSU teams than the Michigan teams OSU has beat up on in the last 15 years.

Our rivalry has been very cyclical that's for sure

Michigan destroyed a PSU team that lucked into their best win against OSU, but we're the frauds

Yep, the same pessimism Michigan fans have now about beating OSU was rapant among the OSU fanbase in the 90's.

The only time I think the rivalry was actually back and forth was during the Bo era of the rivalry.

I think you guys are a much better team next year if Kevin Wilson is the OC FWIW.

I hope so, we haven't been the same since Herman that's for damn sure. Was doing a little reading and found this interesting post:

"Im already hearing Beck to Texas is all but done. Its looking like Ryan Day will be OSU's next QB coach. I guess he's a Chip Kelly protege, been with him every where since Oregon including the Eagles and 49ers. He was also a grad assistant under Urban at Florida. I also heard Urban is going hard after Chip Kelly, but I just can't see Kelly coming back to be an OC. But who knows, Kelly said after he was fired from the 49ers that he would be an offensive coordinator, he just wants to get back into football. Either way changes are indeed coming."

I am 99% sure Chip will not be the OC but apparently the Ryan Day guy has already taken the position. You know anything about him?

Fight on they said lmao!!!!!! Get these frauds outta here!!!!!!

You either have A) high debt or B) someone hurt you. Keep reliving that game as your claim to fame for 2016/2017.

For USC, its National Championship or bust next season. Get the big boy pants ready Darnell.

lets take it easy. We;re losing a ton of talent, and they won't have a nice security blanket at WR as they have for many years. BUT Burnett might be that guy. He came out of nowhere. 2018 season is the year they really make a push.

LOL prepare to be dissapointed early, gonna be the same narrative as usual, "SC primed for playoff appearance" then go onto lose 2-3 games

I'll take B, for sure was hurt............

Will all depend on Darnell and the defense. The pressure might be too much for the kid.

PRESSURE? We talking about Pressure? Pressure? Did you not see this kid this year? He's not normal. Ice in his veins and will go into this season as the clear #1.

2nd best QB in LA, in front of Goff though............

I think the defense will be ok, but the pressure might be too much for Darnell. BUT, if the kid steps up, look out.

Pressure?

If he steps up? Congrats on getting out of the coma this month. No disrespect.

Stanford beat you guys by 17

Congratulations you won the same amount of games as Stanford

what a game. One of the most entertaining sporting events i;ve been to. The highs and lows were all over the place. I was resigned to Penn State winning and actually being happy for them. I like Franklin. But i can;t say the same about the fans. Very disrespectful pre-game and of course post game. And the females? TRASH. All the cute ones must have stayed home.

This game shouldn't have been close. Gave away points in the first half and they went away from running the ball. Started running the ball down 14 and it helped. Good year of learning for Tee.

I held my breathe every time Barkley touched the ball. What a beast.

PSU is in a good shape. Hopefully Franklin doesn't bounce on them.

Darnold is a bad man. Hopefully we get two more years from him.

We need some bags for some linebacking talent out there. No speed from the top guys. We played better without Cam Smith, who was all out of place all over the field. Fantastic linebacker for 1965 football. They frustrated the hell out of him, which lead to that targeting.

What happened to Adoree? Thought he might have torn his knee but i can't get any reports on his injury.

8 months and counting.......

Stanford beat USC, there is nothing you're gonna say that's gonna hurt me
We both weren't in the playoffs, I could care less about meaningless bowl games, rose bowl included

"Couldn't care less" is what you mean.

San Jose State alumni rooting for Stanford i see. It all makes sense now.

Nah

The only place I can see Chip being a OC at next year is NE.  Other than that unless a big job unexpectedly opens somewhat soon, I think he sits next season out.

Even if Chip was interested in being the OC at OSU, I think you guys would be better of with Wilson long term IMO.  Chip's not going to be anything more than a one and done there.

I really hope Herman isnt letting that clown Beck call plays

Ahh the classic "he didn't go to the school so he can't root for the school" argument

http://www.espn.com/college-football/matchup?gameId=400869110

Not at all. You can certainly root for any team you want. I'm cool with it. You don't matter to me so it doesn't bug me if you didn't attend Stanford.

But it all makes sense now.

Somebody needs to give you a hug though.

Hope 2017 is all you want it to be in the personal life.

Congrats on your successful season.

I agree. No way he takes a job with someone like tOSU, or as Mamba hoped, UF. You can't have him be a presence at OC. He's too big. He should sit the year out and wait for the next openings. I'll be rooting for UCLA to win 9 games minimum though. I don't need him in LA AT ALL.

So who;s this dude UCLA just hired as OC? Is he someone we should worry about?

Congrats on your successful season.

Thank you, very appreciated. Feels fantastic. My expectations was 8-9 wins this year, so it feels good to be back in double digits and win a Bowl Game thats usually old hat for us. But beggars can't be choosers. We're just trying to be Stanford.

Congrats on your unsuccessful season but your victory against us in Sept. There's an asterisk on the Rose Bowl trophy mentioning this devastating loss.

Here's to hoping you lose David Shaw so we can stop listening to you complaining about him.

I'll stop complaining about David Shaw when he stops calling shot gun options on the half yard line

I still don't want him to leave though

I don't want Chip as an OC. I want him as head coach.

You're stuck with Jimmy Mac. They can't fire him. Even an 8 win season probably keeps his job safe. Muschamp era dug yourselves in a pretty deep hole.

Chip in the state of Florida could be scary.

Jedd was a good hire for them IMO, but Im not sure he's going to be able to turn things around enough for Mora to save his job.  He should mesh well with Rosen, but there aren't a lot of things you can do schematically to hide a **** OL.
