The defense wore out cause he couldn't keep drives going. Shark Never calls that trick play if he has a qb that is throwing the ball

Sark was calling plays all game conservatively cause they had the lead the majority of the game. Just as Lane did the week before and Bama has done the entire season. Hurts has been the QB all season they knew what limitations he had going into the matchup. The defense just had been so dominant all year that outside of the Ole Miss game, Hurts really was never pressed to make big plays in the passing game. That's why you saw all the screens and short stuff, it's been get the ball to the playmakers and let them work.

Bring Ya own Peppers declares for the draft, gawd help whoever wastes a 1st Rd pick on him.
I'm going to bump this when he gets All-Pro honors.
Knew they were gonna lose re: the Birmingham ratings

One of the cable providers down there probably decided to turn off service on all the outstanding accounts yesterday to get most of them to pay up.

The truth is that Bama flat out got beat last night.

The whole Saban/Sark/Kiffin narrative is being pushed by the media because they hyped Bama up in a way that made people think they were downright unstoppable, so now they need to provide an explanation.

That's a really good hire for PJ if Ed is just coaching the OL and not calling plays.

As a OL coach Ed > Stud IMO.

Scott Wolf was the only AP voter to rank USC lower than 7th place. He's the ****** SC writer I told some of you makes stuff up to drive page views.

  Nope. Urban.

False

The way it's been explained to me was about 70% Warinner. Beck and Urban each had "input." Ultimately, I think the fact that Urban just give him 100% was why the offense took so long to get plays and why we seemed to struggle to get a rhythm. But there was also a reason Urban didn't give him the offense completely...
Clemson’s final ‘pick play’ was perfect, legal, and should remain so
I’ve now watched the play many times, and the thing I’m struck by is this: Clemson did nothing wrong. Scott ran at Humphrey, but Humphrey welcomed the contact, being physical at the line and getting his hands on Scott, who was happy to go down when he did so. Brown didn’t react quickly enough.

It was a good play, and one that is legal. If Scott had dove hard at the legs of Humphrey, you’d have a case to make. He didn’t. Humphrey grabbed him high, he went down. It was a legal play.

Alabama’s Tim Williams  talked to FOX Sports’ Bruce Feldman  after the game, and conceded he didn’t think the refs should have flagged it:
Williams said that usually on a pick play, the offensive player isn’t supposed to chip somebody. That you’re just supposed to pick them and go onto your route. “But that guy literally chopped (Marlon) down, but hey, that’s football.” But Williams added that he didn’t think the refs should’ve flagged it.
Feldman also notes that Alabama was expecting the play, as injured defensive star Eddie Jackson was on the sideline screaming “WATCH THE PICK! WATCH THE PICK!” before the snap.
yup.

Can't say a play is blatantly offensive PI, when the defender is the one grabbing and holding while the ball's in the air.

The first one with Leggett was a legal rub route too, because I believe the contact was before ball was thrown and it was the DB initiating the physicality. Leggett also turns to "look for" the ball once it is thrown.
