Random rants thread vol.everyday things that bug you "first world problems"

When strangers randomly compliment me on something I'm wearing.
Yes I know the coat is nice that's why I bought it, thank for pointing it out though.
It's even worse with shoe people, they wanna have an entire ******* convo

Using "of" instead of "have". "He should of", "I would of", "They could of"

It's "He should HAVE", "I would HAVE", "They could HAVE"
Or "He should've", "I would've", "They could've".
English, do you speak it?

You get offended by a compliment? I've heard it all now...

Damn, they're just showing you some love and appreciating your sexiness.

Why so defensive?
If I'm not listening to music and I'm not with someone and it's a quick one then thanks. Otherwise don't bother me.

But people just seemingly can never meet those requirements. Only one guy ever did. A thumbs up then kept it moving.

Best random compliment I ever got. No words involved at all and I didn't have to stop to receive it. That's how it should be.

if you get mad when people compliment you, there's a problem with you.

Yeah I absolutely fly into a rage and curse them out. It ruins my entire day.

Cmon it bothers me but I don't get mad

 I just find it annoying.

They're not even complimenting me. They're complimenting things I own.

 :smh:

This has truly shown me, people are satisfied with nothing. Something will always offend someone

when im at work dont bother me with questions... i am no expert just like you so why go to me instead go to the boss? and not to be standoffish but i just dont feel like being bothered while doing my work... i get in a zone and its tough for me to get back in it once im interrupted...

3rd day at this new job and I'm not grasping the process as fast as I thought I would. this women training me is nice but I need someone to watch me do what I'm suppose to do and critique It on the spot. So I don't continue to get up and ask her questions she already answered. All I need is 1 or 2 solid hours of her time and I'll be straight forever. But I know everyone can't train or don't know how to convey their knowledge.

And these birds that work in the building don't even even say thank you to the guy who holds open the elevator door for them.

Slow drivers in the left lane
Grown men who pretend to have fake crazy lives. I got this dude I work with who pretends he was in some Sons of Anarchy type life, but in reality he's just a loser with too many tatoos and a beard
when i travels with homies but they are cheap as ****

I can't turn the radio on.It never plays less popular songs like Kendrick Lamar or anything like that just pure mainstream **** that has billions of views on Youtube.

Work work work work

and she said hola como estas

I need a one dance

you know when that hotling bling

cause they are in a rush...

are you being serious?

The quicker 3 seconds right? If you're in a rush take the stairs smart guy

Probably the same reason people speed to get to a red light. They're in a "rush"

In the DMV 3 seconds can be the difference between making/missing a metro train. You miss a metro train you may have to wait 2-20 minutes longer. If there are track issues you may be waiting 2-40 minutes longer. If you are catching a commuter train you may be waiting 20 minutes to an hour longer or just be screwed. The escalators ARE the stairs in the metro smart guy. Escalators and elevators that's it. I've plowed through people standing on the left if they ignore my first excuse me and I see the train approaching. It's a rule for a reason. You can and will get touched if you standing on the left. Beleedat.

 Who said I was leaving my house in a rush? That's not even what it's about. Anyway, my house is directly on top of the metro station and I still have issues all the time. WMATA is wild unreliable you never know what you're going to get. I'm not even gonna try to explain this to non DMV cats. This why y'all get yelled out and run over when you visit.

People who stand there and study the menu like its hieroglyphics,c'mon it's probably not you're first time at Starbucks, keep it moving.

Random *** people who try to start up conversations at bars.A "how are you?" or something like that is fine but I don't want to hear your life story.

Clearly your in a rush if 3 seconds is the difference and you need to run down an escalator. It's the same people late all the time and they always got dumb excuses

Less a rant and more something I don't quite understand is all these nurses/hospital employees wearing their scrubs on the train. Here in NYC, these subways are flat out nasty. But sure enough I'll see people wearing them on their way to work. I have no real qualm with it, I just always figured when you are dealing with folks who are in the hospital with weak immune systems and are considerably ill, coming into work with seemingly dirty scrubs from sitting in a subway seat that a homeless guy was sleeping on 3 stops ago is kind of counter-intuitive. Then again, the amount of germs already floating around in a hospital might make the dirty scrubs a minor concern in the grand scheme of things.

So your train stations dont have stairs? I refuse to believe that. You're trying to tell me how metro works and I am from NYC

Try that lie somewhere else

Our train stations don't have stairs.
