How about the retros that NW gets early sometimes, you guys have to pay resellers price to get them early?

Sucks that Adidas doesn't send you guys much shoes these days but at least you guys still get invited on their events, most of those are probably great experiences.
 
I like the direction NW is going. Hopefully he has more access to players. Interesting part, Langston states he can't do narrow shoes, yet rocks the PG1.

Yeah, NW usually has to pay over retail to get them early just to give a look at the materials and quality.

Could not have said it better. The PG 1 while very good does have some shortcomings but again at the $110 price point it's well designed.

The hardest thing a designer has to do is turn out products that are high quality yet also have good performance and competitive pricing. It's very easy to design the best sneaker with the best materials and likewise the same could be said for low price, low quality & poor performance. However, good performance at a good price point is difficult. I give Nike designers high marks on the PG 1 for achieving a nice balance of performance, quality and price point.

Eh...I don't think materials have a whole lot to do with it. Most of this stuff is dirt cheap to source. I think the player contracts, and brand business models(necessitating tiered pricing) have more to do with it.

I mean, the mentality with full length lunarlon retailing at $60 less than the KB 11?

Adidas releasing shoes with new tech like Boost and Bounce, premium materials like jacquard uppers at nearly $100 less than Nike signature models?

You even see primeknit shoes come out for significantly less than some flyknit models(Lillard 2 all star boost)

End of the day, most of these shoes are made with mostly rubber and plastic.

Not a brag at all - i SUCK at videos, words and editing. I know it. So I stopped. I come across much better written. And I am old - how is that a brag?

As far as unnecessary, we are on a website about shoes. It's ALL unnecessary.

Just got The Bait pair. The shoes fit well with me as my feet are narrow anyway. Still, after my first wear, my right little toe does hurt a bit but not the left, so I guess its my feet and not the shoe fault. I dont have much to say about PG1 other than it is a good pair of basketball shoes overall.

Another question though... How long does it take everyone to lose PG's signature printed on the insole? I played my game for 2 hours with constantly running and hustling and when I took the pair off, I instantly noticed the prints on both shoes are long gone. Adding in my friend commented that my pair is not legit (he was probably joking), I kinda sweated... but anyone has any idea if there already are fake PG1 floating around in the market?

Every shoe loses the print on the insole. Unless if you put some tape on it it or else it will disappear.
 
For those who have bought the Black Ice, what are your thoughts? Any regrets? I'm on the fence and it releases tomorrow, very tempted but wanna hear some thoughts first.

The first time I played ball in mine the signature was almost gone, second time all gone.

Yeah and He got the Black Ice... solid purchase. Did not complain at all and says the shoes break loose after few wears. He loves the trap (as much as I do) as it helps lock down and provide good feel. The only thing he would recommend is wearing thinner sock (than the current NBA line) to avoid overheat.
