Was this situation that funny to everyone?
Why did you gift?
There's no buyer protection for gift payments.

Why did you gift? "Trusting" him is not a valid reason. Was this situation that funny to everyone?

Just call Visa and tell them you wanna file a chargeback and you paid someone via PayPal for shoes and they never sent them.
They will ask for proof but don't tell them you gifted (won't matter anyways) you should win. But call them now.
Don't worry OP
Give me 8 bills and homies address and I'll go get your loot back.
Update
Me and 2 of my friends are purchasing Yeezy 350s, we did a group deal valued at $2050+credit card fees (3 pairs).
My friend did a transaction in the past with this seller where he purchased PB Yeezy 350s without any issues, so we trusted him and were going to buy more pairs. We did a PayPal gift transaction using a credit card to make the purchase. It has been more than week and the seller is acting very shady through text messages (sporadically responding/ignoring our text messages). At this point, we just want our money back. We tried doing a PayPal unauthorized claim, but PayPal ruled there wasn't any unauthorized access made to the account so the claim was closed.
Has this happened to anyone else? What are our options.. Can I contact Visa (credit card company) directly regarding this transaction? What do I tell them specifically to get our money back?
This seller is a from NY/NJ, so we may file a police report if we have to. We have text messages, addresses and all his contact information.
Please advise fam.
