Documentary on Netflix

Showing the juco life of a dominate program in rural Mississippi who have won the last 3 national championships. Pretty good but also cringe worthy how short sighted and just flat out ignorant these kids are to the real world. They are litterally on their last chance.

A couple kickback players from major programs John Franklin from FSU and others from VTech, Clemson and UGA.

Juco football def gives a 2nd chance. Went to one in SoCal and helped me get my **** straight. Bout to check this out

Was going to start a thread the other day. Worth watching for any football/sports fan.

Finale was lit. Coach Stephens true colors came out.

A shoutout to Miss Wagner. She has to deal with a lot of bs from these dudes.

John Franklin isn't very likeable.

I really wanted to punch Franklin in the face. He's not as legit as he think he is.

Kid was straight acting word to plies.

Watching now, good lookin OP

This makes me appreciate that I'm from the city

That coach in the last coach was wilding man. Don't call ya guys thugs in that situation smh

I liked it for 2 reasons mainly:

1. There were at least 3 former FSU players and one current that has been offered on the team (Isaiah Wright - frosh that snuck in for the kickoff and took it to the house and backup RB).

2.  It's in the South and I'm from there originally and can relate; albeit nowhere near as "Southern"/rural as Scooba, but certainly had my fair share of redneck experiences living in FL, AL, and TX.

John Franklin, the guys you don't like, used to be a 'Nole, but transferred to EMCC after Everett Golson came to Tallahassee from Notre Dame. I wish they would have talked more about his story and transferring, considering Clint Trickett, who is one of EMCC's assistant coaches, was actually in the same exact shoes at FSU. Clint saw the writing on the wall and went to WVU to get some PT, but the show made no mention of his time at FSU and his departure. Clint's dad, Rick, is actually the O-line coach at FSU, too. It sucked Clint endured so many concussions while QBing for the Mountaineers, but I was glad he finally got to play. Same with Jacob Coker when he transferred from FSU to Alabama and won a natty after Jameis Winston showed up.
While this has nothing to do with the show, since I'm the topic of WVU, it's pretty impressive the lineage that has come out of WV.  16 National Championships from coaches that were born in the area:

Fielding Yost (6) Michigan

Nick Saban (5) LSU and Alabama

John McKay (4) USC

Jimbo Fisher - (1) FSU (won another with Saban at LSU as his O coordinator, but obviously not as the HC)

That doesn't even count Bobby Bowden, while not a WV native (born in Alabama), was WVU's HC prior to FSU (second stint)  and had 4 of his boys attend WVU. Between the elder Bowden, Terry, and Tommy, all 3 coached undefeated seasons; pretty impressive. Also pretty amazing is while Bobby Bowden was an assistant at FSU,

Slightly dated but ... : http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...ick-saban-jimbo-fisher-and-15-national-titles

Even though I'm not a fan of OSU, or Ohio, some pretty impressive coaches have came out of Ohio, too. Urban Meyer, the Gruden's , even Bill Peterson, whom Bobby Bowden coached under at FSU during his first stint. Bill has some legendary coaches under him in his day. (Bill Parcells, Joe Gibbs, Bobby Bowden, Mack Brown (student receiver coach) Bobby Ross, and Don James (was Saban's coach at Kent St), to name to name a few. All of which won Super Bowls (5) or National Championships(4))

Ok, done babbling, you can deducts reps from me. Got a little carried away. Guess I shouldn't have drank that Rockstar ... Sorry

It's more so Franklins unearned arrogance that turned me off.

Dude had one good game all year, and had the nerve to be full of himself [emoji]128514[/emoji] lol. And he was just playing throwback and run that game, really didn't play "quarterback" persay. Not even gus malzhone Spread qb. He was just outrunning guys. Lol.

Everybody there has a story..he's not unique. Ollie's story was sad af...

I really hope dlaw figures it out. I think all of from the inner city know too many cats just like him...so I'm Def routing for him.

Great show tho...I enjoyed it alot.

Ps. Miss Wagner getting the pipe!! Lol

Finally got a chance to watch this documentary & I'm glad I did since I'm a Mississippian. Scooba,MS is 2 hours away from me so I don't know much about them, but I live like 30 mins from Moorehead (which is where Miss Delta Community College is located. When I tell you couldn't go anywhere in "The Delta" without hearing people bring up that incident. I love me some MDCC football because my mom graduated from there & a lot of my high school buddies went on to play football there (hoping it would land them a  football scholarship with either Southern Miss or Mississippi State), but that had a lot of people in the surrounding areas look at them in a negative light.

This year they have to play East Mississippi in Scooba on the 22nd of September. That is going to be interesting.

Just watched the Finale. Redneck head coach let his TRUE colors show at that brawl. Buddy getting stomped on by 6 cats, and you want to let the refs (who LEFT) "handle it"?
