how old of deadstock performance basketball shoes are still ok to wear?

for example, if I have an OG hyperdunk 2008 and an OG hyperdunk 2011, deadstock, are they still okay to start wearing now?  8 years, and 5 years, later?

I've used them about 4 times now for 2 hrs at a time non stop and they look brand new still

I un-DS'd some Yeezy 1 (Zens, 2009) earlier this year.  The midsole cracked on the left shoe after just 5 hours of wear.  Had to sell them on Ebay after.
