Time to boycot Bahamas

The truth is NT does have a hard on for DR. Ya might want to downplay it cause of who made the thread but the hard on is there.

Just the other day Anton made a thread about Brazil so he could antagonize Ninja and do the whole
DR is racist thing all over again.

I think we all understand there is racial history between Haiti and DR.
And while nobody would admit this...a lot of cats going hard on DR really don't care about Haiti.
They enjoy going at Ninja and Steezy, cats just use Haiti as the moral leg to stand on.

Lot of you willing to tell people not to go to DR and I could respect that.
Now how many of these same people protesting DR are pouring their tourism dollars into Haiti?
I mean...if you really feel that strongly about Haiti I would think directly benefiting them through tourism would mean a lot more than going out of your way to hurt DR.

Yeah PC ain't hurting, the influx of European Tourism to the island dwarfs anything America can do, he'll Europeans have actually settled, started business and provided jobs to Dominicans AND Haitians....but what do I know.

Not to mention, destination wedding market is on a crazy high out there, resorts flourishing and even small beachfront off site venues with Canadian/American brides paying dollars to get married there as opposed to some crappy hall here in the states.

Rusty, you talking 100 peeps out of going there isn't gonna do much...I hope those same 100 peeps you talked out of hitting DR, you sent to Haiti bro.

Only place I got visit in the Caribbean now is my own island to see my family, and Haiti is the first place I recommend over the DR.

So imma just hop over that guilt trip famb

See what YOU don't get is that tourism is just as crucial for Haitians IN DR as it is for Dominicans, I'm gonna assume you never set foot on the island to understand how many Haitians feed their families with tourists money :lol:

Nah, the Bahamas scenario is different. Still ****** doe

I wouldn't recommend Bahamas, but folk can still go if they want. The DR I make sure folk know they should avoid, and go Haiti or a smaller island instead.

I'm not a travel agent, I'm an economist, so it is just folk around the office. But still, every lil bit counts.

Welp.. I'm American at the end of the day. I'll spend my money elsewhere.. I'll donate to reputable charities instead if I feel like helping.

what these psuedo intellectuals dont understand is DR is probably their #1 source for help & aide in Haiti, word to da Earthquakes...and their own folks (Wyclef, countless leaders) robbin them blind.

and yeah, them Europeans investing heavy along with United States Dominicans who reinvested on da island. da amount of folks including my family who own property & are renting it out generating income and reinvesting in return is very lucrative.

Guaranteed you'll put a smile and a plate of hot food directly in the hands of a Haitian, by going there and tipping your cab driver who's probably Haitian a good 20$ or 50$ bill like I have in the past....but hey, I hate Haitians and laugh at their suffering.
