Jordan Retro 1 OG Royal returns April 1 2017

Wish the adidas stans would just stick to the adidas yeezy thread. Funny thing is adidas doesn't even have its own section on here. No disrespect to the adidas worshippers but Nike has decades of innovative products that can be retro'd every 3 years and get devoured. I don't think 350s or NMDs will have that stay power. More ppl want to sell yeezys than wear them. If they drop 1 pair of yeezys in say wc4 numbers that colorway will get disregarded by the hypebeasts.
I can see NMDs and Ultraboosts having staying power, Yeezy will last as long as Kanye's name last.

Unless he completely reinvents himself into a fashion designer of course.

I'll go for these even though i have the 2013s...going for a 10.5, 8 and a 7 for friends.

Unless I get unexpected cash, I'm passing. Saving for Linen AF1s.

For $350 and 2 weeks early i'd pull the trigger, i passed on $380 for the breds because i thought that there would be enough that i would at least hit one raffle or on snkrs, but nope lost out on everything, and i had my family from sacramento and seattle entering raffles for me so all in all at least 10+ raffles.

Resell won't even be 300 for the first month

From what it looks like, resellers around the NYC area have these going for $400. The fair market value for the Banned 1's are around $350 for a size 9.5.

If the numbers hold up and there are certainly more pairs on the Royals than the Banned's, we can see a price drop of $300 when it's said and done. But that's wishful thinking here. We won't really know how the market fairs out after a few weeks from RD.

The smart money says the value stays at around $300. Honestly, if you have the money and can pre-order now for $300, i'd jump on it and try snag another pair for retail. Resell that for whatever you got the pre-order for and it's even stevens. But we all know that encourages the resellers.

This is capitalism at it's finest

And this is coming from a guy who owns zero adidas. Sbb is my favorite shoe all time. Even though it started this whole stamped tumbled leather craze.

The fact that you said SBB is your favorite shoe of all-time makes your opinion irrelevant. Did you just start collecting?

It´s yout money fam and I understand where you are coming from but it is crazy that this is becoming the norm. These are 160 shoes and even that price went way up in the last few years alone and we still don´t hesistate paying more then double without even trying.. this is getting out of hand.

Nike would be better of just making these 300$ shoes in first palce and be done with it.

@CityCity  oh no i think people are mistaken, i was just replying to the op who asked the question if he should. Me personally, i don't support the resale market. I'd rather not have a shoe then pay a dime over retail. I've owned tons of jordans and the quality of the shoe is good, but not $250+ good. Especially the 1's. And i own vachetta tan 1's. And like you said, it is my money, i don't understand why some people get so worked up?

Because I work for a retailer. Nike is doing 100% fine. First shoe the general consumer picks up off the wall when they walk into store 9/10 times is Nike.

Yeah but the general consumer doesn't look to buy 3-4 pairs a month. The small group of sneaker heads take up a bigger piece of the pie than you think. If sneaker heads start to gravitate torwards adidas that's a major problem for Nike.

How often is that dad buying a pair of Nike monarchs? Once every 5 years? If that?

Nike and Jordan wouldn't put this much effort into their retros if it wasn't extremely important for them.

Grizzly drop a 11.5 at my home

Bunch of know it alls in here. If you all knew so much you would all eat at retail.

And it sounds like a lot are jealous some are in the position to pre order. Hating is a bad look for you.

Nike is doing just fine, fam...
BEAVERTON, Ore., June 28, 2016 – NIKE, Inc. (NYSE:NKE) today reported fiscal 2016 financial results for its fourth quarter and full year ended May 31, 2016. Strong global demand fueled revenue increases across nearly all geographies in fiscal 2016, while robust international revenue drove growth in the fourth quarter.

Revenues

for NIKE, Inc. rose 6 percent to $8.2 billion, up 9 percent on a currency-neutral basis.
Revenues for the NIKE Brand were $7.7 billion, up 8 percent on a currency-neutral basis driven by double-digit growth in Western Europe, Greater China, Emerging Markets and Japan, including strong growth in Sportswear, Global Football and the Jordan Brand.  Revenues for Converse were $513 million, up 18 percent on a currency-neutral basis, mainly driven by a major system go-live that accelerated orders from the fourth quarter to the third quarter in the prior year.
Numbers don't lie.. The blasphemy that was spoken in here smdh.. Wish I was in here yesterday

I doubt it. Most people buy again cause their previous pair got beat, or they buy because they missed the previous release.
Also don't forget the newcomers that were children during the previous release, or just recently got into jordans.
I've been into Nikes for over 15 years but didn't get into spending my money and following Jordans till like 2010
Same I was born in 92 so most of the 90s for me was being a child only getting shoes when your parents could I wasn't buying shoes for my self until around the same time 2010-11 when graduated high school
