Also, the 5-3-2 seemed like a good move on paper. They have the personnel to have been conservative with 3 CBs facing Sevilla away while maintaining a strong attack, but Benz and Ronnie's link up and flicks were disappointing. Kroos was a non-factor in the middle and we didn't see his trademark long passes.

I don't think I'd want this formation experimented with again though against top opposition. As much as he lacks the excitement factor, RM has a great record when basic game Vasquez plays. So if it ain't broke don't fix it.

We need to sort LB out, Darmian offered no support to Martial who had 2-3 men on him at all times.


Fellaini should've been brought on sooner.


Carrick's replacement needs to be bought this summer.

really was surprised to see him make way at HT for rooney but made sense.. both teams kept bypassing MF so was pointless to have a 3rd body in middle when we were chasing a goal. I would have personally replaced mata with pogba (but that obviously was NEVER gonna happen). Mourinho adapted well to liverpool.. removed a body from MF when it was pointless, then brought in another MF when pool started to exploit the space.. I will say i need pogba to work on his shooting, he's had a clear chance in just about every game.. should have more goals then he does.. I'm sure it will come with time.

I agree.  The finishing isn't there for Pogba.  He's had multiple goal scoring chances throughout the season and all of those times he's hit the woodwork.  United would definitely be in a different position right now if he had finished all of those chances.

It's been a steady rebuild since SAF left.  This is the first time since his departure that the club is pointing in the right direction.  Because we were great for a long time, rival fans are taking their shots (I'm not even mad).  

I can actually feel positive about the club and it's direction
 
Didn't know Lookman signed for Everton. I know he was linked with Arsenal for a minute but I hope this kid flourishes.
 
The early days of the season when City was winning every game and Pep was the savior that was to "change English football forever" seem so distant now.

The media and people have a tendency to overblow things early on instead of letting the season play out its course.

Conte has every team in the world wanting to try the 3-4-3 or some variation of it. He has low key done more for than the English game than pep.
