Minnesota FC will be sponsored by Target.
I don't understand why this is funny.

Target is 38 in the F500.... there are NBA/NFL/MLB franchises that could only dream of a corporate sponsorship with a company as big as Target...

Maybe the joke went over my head.

peng gyal :pimp:

i can just imagine them running around with a huge bullseye on their chests
Thanks god De Jong isn't in the MLS anymore.

Not to mention Target is surely the largest private employer in the state of Minnesota and is head quartered in Minneapolis. Pretty logical corporate sponsorship arrangement.

Cause the Target logo looks doo doo and ugly. Next up, Wal-Mart bout to come in with the sponsor game.

Nah, I'd still go for the footy

You guys ever bring women to sports games? I find myself opting not to unless shes really down, down and thats rare AF. I cant seem to split time with focusing on the game and their side chatter. By the time you know it, the games over and you barely remember half of the things she said

Idk if its just me, I'm 25 btw and when I do cater my attention towards who I bring, I feel like we could of done something else than be at a sports game not even watching it.

I sometimes go to Sac Republic games with a female friend of mine. She actually played and is really into the game still.

But I've also been to games girls who aren't footy fans and I don't really mind tbh

9 times out of 10 I prefer to go to games by myself tbh.

It's a focus thing.

Baseball and basketball games, before the cost of Warriors tickets was one months rent used to be go to date ideas for girls who were into sports.

The focus thing is real talk. I don't even like to go to bars to watch a game cause I don't like being around other people when watching a game when it's a team I care about. I can be to much of a debater to deal with the potential nonsense that can be said [emoji]128514[/emoji]

I take my girl to almost every Timbers game I go to. It was a slow process, but she's RCTID now. Was never any discussion during games either, except for the minutia of the game.

Just working on getting her to appreciate the entire landscape of soccer now.

Nigeria keen on England U20 striker Ademola Lookman

By Oluwashina Okeleji
BBC Sport

Nigeria want to persuade 19-year-old Everton striker Ademola Lookman to play for them rather than England.

Lookman was born in England but can play for Nigeria through his parents.

He has already played for England Under-19s and U20s but can switch allegiances because he is yet to play for the senior side.

"He has Nigerian parents and we'd need to speak to him first," Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) official Bitrus Bewarang told BBC Sport.

Lookman moved to Everton from Charlton earlier this month in a deal that could eventually cost £11m.

He made a goalscoring debut in the side's 4-0 win over Manchester City on Sunday and has caught the attention of Bewarang, who succeeded the late Shaibu Amodu as NFF's technical director in July.

"I saw him against Manchester City and I was excited to see a young player of Nigerian descent shine, so I thought why not," said Bewarang.

"It is the duty of the national coach [Gernot Rohr] to invite players to the national team, but we will help him check Lookman's eligibilty."

Nigeria have previously succeeded in snapping up former England youth internationals like Sone Aluko, Victor Moses, Shola Ameobi and Alex Iwobi for the Super Eagles.

Bewerang is hoping that such an illustrious list could help convince Lookman to play for the three-time African champions.

"We've managed to get players like Moses and Iwobi in the past and Lookman will be a great addition to the national team if we got him," Bewerang added.

"We have a young side, the new coach is building a strong squad and having some youngsters from the Premier League [Kelechi Iheanacho and Alex Iwobi] could help his decision.

"I am not desperate to see this happen but we will give it a shot."

Lookman scored 12 goals in 49 games for Charlton, who were relegated to League One at the end of last season.

He won five England Under-19 caps before making three appearances for the Under-20s, scoring once.
