I'm not sure if you guys are sarcastic with this Pogba talk or just that obsessed with the kid.

We're the engine that keeps this thread moving in the middle of the week.

Without us, this would be the Tennis Thread (for the record, I love tennis, it's just a slow thread)

triple-h-nod.gif

You got that right. I post there in the tennis thread during grand slam tournaments

Pogba ain't worth **** if you have Fellaini, Herrera, Carrick in midfield. Bunch of sub par oscar the grouch bums. That's like Having four cars, one being a luxury car and the others are a bunch of chevy Malibu's.

Ahh yes, the classic "it ain't trickin if you got it" logic appears again.

It's sad that that's the only thing they can use to rationalize their dumb transfers.

We should really start taking transfer advice from you and your club.

No really, historically speaking, ya'll have been getting it right...

"In the 2011 January transfer window that Liverpool sold Fernando Torres for £50million, they spent £80m on players, including Andy Carroll who, at the time, was the second most expensive player in British football transfer history."

"When they sold Luis Suarez for £65m, they spent close to £120m on players, including three players for more than £20m each."

United---.Liverpool
2014/15--- £146m--- £117m
2013/14--- £68m--- £49m
2012/13--- £63m--- £49m
2011/12--- £53m--- £56m
2010/11--- £27m--- £80m
2009/10---- £21m--- £36m
2008/09---- £36m--- £39m
2007/08---- £62m--- £70m
2006/07---- £19m--- £28m
2005/06---- £20m--- £35m
2004/05---- £27m--- £40m
Total--- £542m--- £599m

All that money spent making wise decisions and what do you have to show for it? All of your trophies? All of your success?

Convenient how you stopped at 2014/15.

I'm talking about right now famb. The present day. There's no denying you guys were a well run team with SAF was running the show.

Why don't you show the figures from these last two years? What do those look like huh?

Type of dudes to pay for the yambs when it's available for free.

This was under bad managerial/advisement, but at least we're trying something. Y'all are just a placeholder when a player is in between clubs and just needs a mental break from football while still getting paid. Manchester United, where you go and play pickup games of footy with no stress. You get a free chevy vehicle and all expense paid living arrangements.

Your entire clubs existence in the past. It's the only way to talk to you boys. I don't remember Pool doing anything even remotely memorable since once in 2005 (Please correct me if I'm wrong).

For real fam, keep it all the way one hunna with me, have you ever even seen your club lift a league title with your own eyes? Cause it's gotta be the frustration that's been building up your whole life that's got you out here pocket watchin United all day long...

Once again moving the goalposts when it's convenient...

We're not talking about the past because in the present day, Liverpool is building something meaningful while United seems to think they can just throw money at their problems.

I've heard the same story since 2005, yet still no league title in sight.... :rolleyes

You're obsessed with United's spending because the club makes it's own money and spends it how it wants, and your club will never afford to do the same. United will continue to spend however it wants to dig it's way out of it's post Fergie period. Just accept it bruh. After United's greatest era it's taking a few years to re-arrange things. It took ya'll like 20+ years and counting....

Ya'll keep saying this yet offer no concrete proof. You really think you're the only club in the PL with spending power huh? Newsflash, you're not and your figures above prove it. You're just the only club that chooses to hemorrhage money year after year. And that's a fact, look up your profit to loss ratio.

I'm done with this though, enjoy 5th place.

It's been said already. These boys just obsessed with the fact that their clubs will never be able to afford to take gambles like that.

Keep on pocket watchin....

Jape and I stay slandering Man U too. It's really just because you guys deserve it. And people talk about it a lot because it really just is that shockingly bad (and funny.)

The same way people respect clubs like Bayern and Juventus for being savvy, Madrid and Barca for getting the stars, we're gunna slander clubs for being idiots. You guys post-SAF have been a richer version of Portsmouth.

Just imagine if RM, Barca, or Bayern were burning through mountains of cash just for Europa league footy year after year and being captained by Fellaini

You and Tomi are the best man. Never change [emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji]

But on a serious note, I saw a report that Klopp will be given 200 mil for the summer transfer. Is that true, if so, what'd you think it should be spent on?

As much as this meme is used for Arsenal, many are calling for Wenger out. It's better suited for United supporters since Moyes.

05onfire1_xp-facebookJumbo.jpg

Every summer cats waiting for "Lord Woodward" to just burn more money.

I do think you guys will turn it around within the next 3 years. But it's just insane how ok you are with all of this and even brag about being fiscally stupid.

Is this supposed to be some sort of surprise?

Cause are we forgetting that Juve is HEAVILY stacked, and has been continuously adding players strengthening their squad for the past how long? They also aren't exactly in the most competitive league, all they really do is wait to turn up for CL.

This season in:

Miralem Pjanić
Dani Alves
Medhi Benatia
Marko Pjaca
Gonzalo Higuaín
Juan Cuadrado

Season before in:

Paulo Dybala
Sami Khedira
Mario Mandžukić
Daniele Rugani
Neto
Simone Zaza
Guido Vadalá
Alex Sandro
Colombia Juan Cuadrado (Loan)
Gabon Mario Lemina
Hernanes

Look at all of those crucial names. Pogba or no Pogba, with that kinda talent coming in you'd expect Juve to be competitive at the highest level.
... i was laughing at pogba not juve..obviously.

he left a powerhouse club who could potentially win a champions league to join a mid-level club to finish in europa league spot.

This has to be the dumbest most hypocritical argument I've ever seen coming from you. Especially when years prior you would come into the thread and bash how they are mismanaging finances, now all of a sudden it doesn't matter and everyone is pocket watching ? No one cares. Our board isn't foolishness enough to drop off such obsense amounts of money for players who don't even plan on staying the season. Y'all tossed the bag at Di Maria and he got tired of the vacation and went to PSG. Y'all tossed the bag at memphis and he went to Lyon to go and ball. Now y'all toss the bag at Pogba who'll probably bounce and go to Real Madrid once he gets tired of the Manchester night life and pushing the camaro .Miss us with your nonsensical arguments.

The Glazer family has been accused of draining £1billion from Manchester United and wrecking the club's chances of dominating Europe.

The Manchester United Supporters Trust (MUST) chose the 10-year anniversary of the Glazers' takeover to launch a fresh attack on the American family.

The Glazers' £790million leveraged buyout of United in 2005 caused uproar among the club's fans and sparked the creation of breakaway club FC United.

Ten years on, MUST is still unhappy about the way the family borrowed against the club to finance their takeover.

"Not investing a single penny might be considered an 'ownership crime' by fans at most clubs but far worse than that they (the Glazers) have actually extracted colossal sums from Manchester United," MUST said in a press release.

"When all interest and charges on their leveraged buyout is added up, plus money they've paid themselves, plus related debt still on the club, they've taken more than £1 BILLION and it's still rising.

"No owner in the history of football in any country, ever, has taken so much money from a club."

Despite the controversy surrounding the Glazers, United have enjoyed success on the pitch under their stewardship.

In the last 10 years they have won the Barclays Premier League five times and in 2008 they lifted the Champions League for the third time in the club's history.

MUST says had it not been for mismanagement from the Glazers, United would have eclipsed Liverpool's British record of winning the competition five times.

"When the Glazers took over in 2005 we already had an exciting young squad including Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney," the MUST statement added.

"With continued investment that squad should have gone on to dominate Europe for years but the Glazer era squandered that golden chance and although still successful on the pitch it has to go down, in Europe in particular, as a decade of wasted opportunity.

"United should have knocked Liverpool off their European perch too by surpassing their five European Cups.

"It seems very likely we would have done had it not been for financial austerity imposed by the Glazers' ownership."

MUST said the Glazers had "botched" the appointment of Sir Alex Ferguson's successor and that of chief executive David Gill.

The fans' group did admit its relationship with the club had improved over the last two years, though.

"Despite the huge damage inflicted over the last 10 years things are undoubtedly beginning to look positive again in 2015," MUST said.

"Relations between fans and the senior management team have improved vastly in the last two years with genuine dialogue and regular meetings established.

"The costs of servicing the remaining debt are now down to manageable levels and Manchester United is climbing back to the position of financial superiority it occupied for nine years prior to the Glazers arrival.

"It's just a shame we had to go through all the pain and waste of the last decade simply to allow a family with no connection to Manchester United to enrich themselves at the expense of our club and fans."

Manchester United refused to comment on MUST's statement.

Now that Arsenal, Liverpool, Juve, Real Mardrid, supporters all confirm United and Pogba are trash eiddyfouw eiddyfouw going to switch the narrative from jealous pocket watchers to "anyone but united "

Di Maria left after his family's house got broken into. But you know what, I'll take that one on the chin and say that Di Maria always wanted to goto PSG, but the deal didn't line up when he was at Madrid, so he found another route.

Memphis simply never adjusted. We'll never know if it was just United or if it was the English game cause he didn't play anywhere else. He's found his level in France, and that's great for him; and honestly I'm happy for the boy, it just wasn't working out.

This Pogba narrative is already funny because so many of ya'll are going on and on about money that ain't yours. But it will get even better when the inevitable happens and that's Madrid coming along in a few years and paying far more than we did for Pogba.

If you wanna come at me about United's spending, at least come at me for giving people like Jesse new deals (reported 75k-100k a week); come at me for still somehow paying a small countries GDP to Rooney every season; come at me for Fellaini still even on the training ground....but this Pogba story without a proper supporting cast is just tired. If United next season bring in the players that Mou wants and it STILL doesn't work out, by all means, laugh my username into oblivion next season.

Until then ya'll know where to find me....right here.

Jape is honestly just United fan in his previous life. Ol boy spent more time talking about United this season than his own club.

I'm glad you mentioned Bayern and Juve, cause as much as I respect the way (particularly Bayern cause I'm more familiar with their structure) those clubs do business, I'm VERY cognisant of the fact that they're in one-club leagues and they have no problem snatching up the talent from their potential rivals. That's how you have situations where King Lewa would rather wind down his contract and moonwalk over to Bayern. I won't even mention Serie A cause it's in shambles last I checked.

 at the Portsmouth reference....except in the time since SAF left, the club has managed to sign some of it's biggest commercials deals, ensuring it earns a higher revenue than ever.

United will be just fine....

United will have spent $105 million pounds between Moyes, Van Gaal and Jose Mourinho. Then they've spent about $600 million pounds during that time frame purchasing players yet they are still here struggling against the rabble rousers and talmbout what has happened in the past and claims we're stuck in the past.

Keeping it real, why do you care how much they spend?

The club basically prints enough money as it is so any big spending nowadays is nothing compared to how much the club makes.
