As great as Alves is as a player I don't want to see City getting another 30+ fullback. We need to get younger and quicker in that spot

If Walker rumors are true I think its realistic City could get him. He's 26/27 so we could still get 6/7 years out of him

EDIT: The only thing that could stop it is if Spurs refuse to sell to a potential title rival

In other news the Portuguese league will have video assistance in all games next season

http://www.record.pt/futebol/detalhe/video-arbitro-em-todos-os-jogos-da-liga-201718.html

A graphic from the article detailing what situations would be reviewable. And how it would work.

This will make them the second European league to do it after the dutch league.

Video on how it works for them

La Liga and Series A also announced it for next season iirc along with FIFA for the next WC,should be interesting to see how it works

Alves would be a great option short term for Citeh, can't see him playing more than 2 more seasons though. I remember Iniesta saying last month that he wouldn't trade Alves for any of his current teammates...yea right . Dude has still got it
Everything about Italian football > Everything about English football.

Maybe when it comes to unpunished racial abuse...

He would be a great short term option but City need more than short term we need a new core. The core that Hughes set up and Mancini built upon is aging and starting to run its course. Patchwork jobs aren't gonna do anything for us right now

Yeah, I don't agree with that racist **** whatsoever. Rudiger got abused as well by Lulic from Lazio and he got only 20 days or something like that for a suspension. 20 days... ain't even three games.

Yeah I feel you, dudes like Aurier,Mendy,Walker,Fabinho and Cancelo would definitely be better options in the long run

Guess Costa heading to China sets the stage for Lukaku's return...:nerd:

^
Dudes need a lot of work on that front if they want to get back to being arguably the top league in Europe like before. Been way too many stories like that and it still goes relatively unchecked :smh:. Shame cause the style of Italian footy itself has a long and glorious history in the game but the league hasn't done the game justice in their lackadaisical responses to that problem

Oh man its going to be a interesting summer if Costa deal to China actually goes through. that would be roughly 160m pounds Chelsea would have from the sale of Ramires, Oscar, and Costa. that along with roman saying he will give Conte the biggest transfer budget he has given out before oh my oh my I can't wait

Bruh Arsene...

I almost threw my phone when I read the headline. Had to lock it and just look around in shock for 2 mins before I read the rest of the article.

We were all just joking about this recently

Wenger In, Wenger out (Remix)

"Wenger didn't wanna pay one pound for Mbappe"

Hit his old club for Kylian, woulda been a lowball for Willian

Immediately thought of this. If Chelsea play their cards right they can be a force in Europe again and be a CL semi-finalist type side.

Need them to come throw that China money at Bale. Although I'd rather United go after him if they're in Europa since we wouldn't play them.

Arsene the type of dude to go on the price is right and bid 1 dollar out of frugality and have this happen:

probably went down like this:

*Wenger walks in Mbappe's crib*

Wenger: £1?

*Mbappe' shakes head, no*

Wenger: say no more

*Wenger out*

**reps for life if you can PS Wenger's and Mbappe's face  **

Many English fans are pretty terrible too. The difference is that a)the FA has at least been doing a lot to keep the racism and violence outside of stadiums and b)most "working class" (AKA racist white supporters) clubs like Millwall (who have the worst fans on the planet)are completely irrelevant these days, so you don't hear much about their constant attacks on other fans.

Remember what they were doing during Euro 2016 in Marseille? What they were doing in Madrid a few weeks ago? What they were doing to the PSG fan a few years ago? That's why all English teams were banned from European competitions in the 80s  if UEFA had balls, they'd do the same with Italy, but we all know they don't really give a @#%%

There are instances of racism in every European league. Doesn't excuse what the Italians did, but don't single them out and act like they're the only ones.

No, at the institutional level Italian football absolutely deserves to be singled out (which is what I did).

Things are not the same, it's disingenuous and contributes to the problem to play the "racism is everywhere" card.

Italy has problems at the organizational level that are far beyond what's seen in the sport in most of Europe's civilized societies.
