Mino Raiola might have gotten himself in some trouble.

According to Mediapart, which just released a new survey, the transfer of the player from Juventus Turin to Manchester United last summer for around € 105 million is full of irregularities. Raiola would have dressed at the same time acting as agent of Pogba, Juventus Turin and Manchester United and thus receive commissions from all sides. Problem, he would not have told the Old Lady that he was also working for the Red Devils. This practice is forbidden by FIFA because of a flagrant conflict of interest. The institution of world football has opened an investigation on this subject.

The Dutch agent is a big risk, since in the event of proven misconduct, the sanction could go as far as prohibiting him from performing his duties. In fact, Raiola would have packed his pockets. Juventus paid him 27 million commissions. He also negotiated a huge check for € 19.4 million thanks to his contract with Manchester United, plus € 2.6 million to be Pogba's agent, but paid by the Red Devils. The latter paid him € 22 million.

If this is true, that's a really big risk to take on one player, when he can easily have made that cash over a few players over the next few seasons.

If it goes pear-shaped then he's out of the business for good.

Raiola went from tossing pizza dough to fleecing clubs for millions :pimp:

He's Horatio Alger on steroids

I dont get why Man U & Juve had to pay Raiola that much money, Pogba was going to Man U regardless

I'm gonna wait for the case to come out before really thinking about this.

Cause as it stands, just sounds like a REALLY big risk, for one pay-day when clearly he already makes a lot of money.

Based off that short article, it looks like he was a dual agent that owed fiduciary duties to both the buyer and seller in this specific transaction (which creates an obvious conflict of interest). In the United States, dual agency is commonly seen in real estate transactions and many states (including my state, Florida) have banned such arrangements. Looks like FIFA has banned dual agency as well.
