I had a pipe dream of once being able to see Sergi Samper & Alena in the midfield serving up Woo up front bfor Barca.

I finally see why Lucho had a problem with Samper. Watching some Granada games in which he's played, he isn't physical enough playing the pivot. It seems like he doesn't like to tackle much.

Alena's only weakness is he needs to work on defense to. He needs to show the same pace & effort he displays in the attack with his defensive responsibilities. Gosh I hope he doesn't get tempted to leave & I hope Roberto Fernandez works out a good deal for him.
Samper always looked frail to me when he was in the pivot. The good thing about Alena is that he knows he needs to get better on defense, and hopefully he gets that focused a bit more. Seeing that he's been getting called up a bit more lately, i think he will get that with the first team practices. He is one that i really hope doesn't leave. He's groomed for that post-iniesta role in a few years if he develops properly.

Speaking of HurriKane, it's nice to see him make the comments after the win over the Hammers this weekend.

I’m happy at the club. A lot of people are going to speculate about contracts but I am happy - you saw me out there today. There’s not many better feelings than being at White Hart Lane and scoring in a London derby.

I want to be here for a long, long time. We are in talks and I’m sure we will get something sorted. I’m not panicking and I’m not demanding anything.

We are having a conversation and I have no doubts that we will get it sorted. I am fully concentrated on playing for Tottenham and winning for Tottenham and I think there are no doubts after today that my mind is anywhere else.

 @ West Brom striker Salomon Rondon citing Blacklist as one of the things helping him to speak English. I know so many people who learned to speak English from watching TV & I know that's the case for many around the world. :smokin

Through 32 games in charge,Zidane now has a better record than Pep,Carlo,Mou and just about anyone you can name to start their managerial tenure in Spain :wow: :pimp: :pimp:

Having him in charge is such a good look for Real and he seems to be able to get players to buy in and gel together rather easily given that he was one of the GOATs in his playing days and commands a tremendous amount of respect from everyone right from the onset.

Hope he can stay on for years,he might help keep Barca at bay from continuing to win everything

Who'd have thought that sacking Rafa midseason would've been the best move by far for everyone involved?

Rafa has been absolutely rejuvenated in the Championship and is running away with things at Newcastle,he's setting them up nicely for a return to the PL

@lee_ryder: Rafa Benitez equals Kevin Keegan's 22-year-old record of nine wins in a row. No #nufc manager in history has won 10 in all competitions.

I know he's in an elected role to, but sunil gulati needs to go to. The US program just hasn't advanced like it should've under his "executive" leadership. If anything it stagnated.

For months gulati said Jurgen would stay thru Russia but after the Costa Rico loss, he was quoted as saying he'd get together with Jurgen & the leadership team to analyze the losses.

Jurgen's contract is guaranteed so he gets $2.5mill for the next 2-3 years. :smokin

If the USMNT is smart they'll give Bielsa a call

I'd loooove Bielsa but I'm not sure if he'd be committed to the job. Working in the US environment might be alien to him to. There's a lot of b*ich *ssness in American athletes that he might not be able to tolerate. I can see someone like Clint giving him attitude or side eye & Bielsa blowing his ish up like MFer who are you?!?!?! Who do you think you are?!!?!??!

Too bad someone like Pep can't take over for Klinsman, would be interesting to see.
