Man, seeing Mourinho fail like this makes me wonder if football coaches are nothing but stock market speculators: They can analyze and provide their expertise, but in the end there's no way of guarenteeing which way it's going to go. And it's not only about current Man U. I have no logical explanation for how things went so bad for Chelsea last season. Like no "experts" could've predicted Chelsea's collapse prior to last season's start. Or Leicester's rise. Just like jackasses like this when they talk about the stock market:

Jesus Christ it's only September folks

Oddly enough it's all the opposing fans that are hitting the panic button and acting like the sky is falling on our behalf ,enjoy it now cause I doubt we're in for another season long rollercoaster

"Outdated",the man ran away with the league a year and a half ago

In other news,Harry Kane has an ankle ligament injury and is out indefinitely for a while

Atletico wants all their Chelsea players back

First Costa, now Courtois

I would never wish an injury or misfortune on anyone, but this sets spurs back and gives some teams a chance to move up.

Hope he gets it all sorted out, but he can take all the time he needs.

Why would they need Courtois? Oblak is one of the better keepers in Spain

No idea. TBH, Chelsea should be looking to keep him as long as possible with backups on standby. His contract is up 2018 and he wants to go back from what I've read

But if I were Chelsea, and I had a player who continuously came out and spoke about his wanting to go back to another club and didn't seem locked into my club and the situation we have atm, I would start looking at alternatives because it sounds like he's planning to leave.

That goes for him and Diego.

Those Atletico guys love their club.

Courtois aint never been the same since he got his knee injury early last season. Was so good before then it seems like he lets in a lot of easy goals. Must be karma for taking KDB's girl since they are almost on the opposite ends of the spectrum in footballing form.

Man U fans aint hitting the E-stop yet but isnt that what Chelsea fans did last year till the same thing happened every week till December?

I think the failings have little to do with Jose though, I mean look at yall lineup. Its almost the same starting XI Moyes had with the addition of Ibra, Pogba and Martial.

not me though, I was hoping for Blanc... :\
he knows the club well - played for two seasons under Sir Alex and won a league title in his final year with the club...

Blanc managed Bordeaux for three seasons where he won a league title and the French league cup... in his final season there, Bordeaux topped their CL group which also featured Juventus and Bayern...
took over the French national team and steadied the ship(topped the qualifying group for Euro 2012) before going to PSG and helped them become one of the better sides in Europe while massaging the egos of their big-name players...

I've read that his time at PSG didn't end well and he resigned... I don't know, but it kinda feels like he still wants a shot at another big club.

Rudi Garcia would be a great coach for a bigger club also. Did great things with Lille and Roma .

Huh, I could've swore that Eyes didn't like Rudi... I thought I remembered him talking ish about him during his time with the Giallorossi...

Blanc is an accomplished manager but his tactics & his team selection in the the CL during the last campaign at PSG were horrible.

Edit - Oh dayum... Umtiti picked up a knee injury in training today & will miss tomorrow's game vs Atleti... Hope it's not serious...

Edit pt II - Man, I really like these EA Sports limited edition Mercurial Superflys.

I agree, PSG's elimination at the hands of City proved that...

Roma's third kit > City's third kit

not feeling the two-tone thingy, but at least City's third kit looks better than Inter's "Sprite" ones...
talking about third kits, might have to cop Barca's... that green is nice, just like Portugal's away at Euro 2016 :nthat:

I know you're a regular in the kit thread keepie uppie keepie uppie , but you need to post in this thread more...

Pep is demanding an apology from YaYa's agent before he can play again. He says the agent must publicly apologize to the club, the players, & the physios for the comments he recently made.

@Keepie Uppie   As much as I love City's new third I have to admit Roma's is the best of all the Nike thirds this season. These two colors work so well together in this gradient look. I think this is Nike's best third template since they started doing the templates for all the thirds.

I'm glad he did. Yaya's agent is a known *** who bad mouthed the club and anyone who he felt like over the years to the point where its undermined his own client's legacy.

I don't think Mou is overrated or outdated but he was on an extreme streak so now expectations are always sky high.

I'd call Pep somewhat overrated, though. He and his style of playing are fairly good at making teams dominate weaker teams. I can't think of any other coach less vulnerable to "surprise" losses. When he had the outstanding squad in the world (Barca at its height) they made winning the CL easy. But during his time with Bayern, who are more of a "regular" European Top4-club it was evident to me that he struggles when facing teams that are on the same level. Their quality was enough to beat any Bundesliga team but in the tough matches their success rate was a bit of a let down. They seemed a bit helpless against Barca, Real and Atletico, respectively, which came close in squad quality.

I sort of hear you, but also disagree.

The additions o:f

Pogba
Martial
Mkhi
Blind
Schneiderlin
Memphis

should show returns.

Now many of them are not performing up to standard due to various reasons:

1. ROONEY: Enough said.
2. Memphis struggled to adapt, and honestly just hasn't worked on his game hard enough.
3. Mourinho: e.g Going out to play without a recognised CDM is simply ludicrous. There were times against Watford where I saw Young in the box, Ibra just outside of the centre circle and Rooney damn near at the halfway line :x ?!? Why would you pick Fellaini over Ander? Ander can tackle, and not cost you a yellow or red. Why would you have Blind or Schneiderlin on the bench for THREE attack-minded players in the MIDFIELD.

Pulisic is starting again. Honestly didn't expect him to get that much playing time. I hope it convinces him to renew his contract soon.

You're tripping, these are mad ugly. They remind me of Barca's "sunset" kits
