Do you buy Ikea shoe trees or no?

Just curious if people actually spend money on them( Ikea shoe trees/Sole shields...etc) or would be interested in a higher end
design with a better price point.

Or do you just rock the paper that Nike provides by default, or an old sock to keep the form of the shoe?

not necessary imo

and i cringe at the folks that uses these on non leather items like knit or mesh

I just use the Nike inserts for my sneakers and actual shoe trees from my dress shoes since they're more expensive. I don't get how dude's wear force fields. Can't be real life

I guess based on the type of material it is. I don't even know if it would help anything.

Why not?

Mesh shoes will lose their shape if you don't do it.

I use shoe trees on my sandals too so they won't lose their shape and they will smell great with that cedar smell

I don't think it'll have any impact on mesh or cotton or whatever inexpensive material they use to make shoes these days.

Leather is more understandable because leather has to be regularly treated and maintained...but I don't even think the leather Nike uses for the most part is even worth it. They're all pretty cheap materials.

I bought a pair and wasn't happy with them. I see all the sneaker folks on IG have them...But for my size 12s...they don't fit well.

I've been using them in all my sneakers for over a year and a half with no issues whatsoever.

Why do you cringe at the fact? Have you spent money on a hyped up shoe say a Yeezy?
but it would make sense for the 750 because it is leather...but im saying if you put these in your 350's you are wasting your time

i thought this was common sense but i guess not

Agreed. I hate when I see people use them on something like Flyknits or Prestos

I used to think the thing the same, too.  But my Tubular Doom Special Forces PK started to buckle and crack on the hard plastic-y piece on the toe.  A shoe tree has helped prevent further cracking, though the cardboard tree it came with would have probably done the trick if I kept using them.  I don't know about Flyknits, Chucks or Vans though.

Shoe trees also prevent your shoes from curling like bananas.  I use shoe trees on an as-needed basis.  Some kicks need them more.  As cheap as the leather is on AJ3 white cements, a quality shoe tree has helped reduce creasing.  I put one in my shoes after a day of wear, and switch to cardboard or paper after that.  One for every pair is overkill except for dressy leather/suede shoes.

Shoes crease who gives a **** about a creased shoe

That's fine, what do you feel about jason Maark shoe cleaner and stance socks then? Shoes crease true, but socks are socks
and soap and water can clean a shoe I dont need a luxury item?

Keep your shoes clean fam. This is not a knock on you. Worrying about a crease seems petty to me

Its a luxury item. You dont have any luxury items in your life? Car, house, sneakers?

I do own things, but a this point in my life I dont care about "luxury". The more you prescribe to a luxury lifestyle the more things you try to obtain you don't own those items they end up owning you. I'm much happier with less to be honest and that's just me though. I'm not judging.

Don't use shoe trees for my sneakers but I do use it for my Cole Haans.

Biggest difference between the Cole Haans and sneakers? Wouldn't you want to keep the shape of the show as long as possible? Slowing down the creasing
in sneakers? I'm in the process of creating a new shoe tree with technical advantages, just seeking some feedback.
