Going to San Fran what are you guys top foodie spots?

Trying to compile a list of 5 or 6 spots to hit up. included in those I`d like to know what is the best Burger in San Fran? Don't say In n Out or Shake Shack.

Thanks

Ironically, the airport is the best airport food ive ever eaten. Start there first!

Some of the more popular ones...

Tartine Bakery
Mission Style Burritos (i.e. from La Taqueria)
San Tung
Golden Gate Bakery
Ike's

Just go on Yelp and sort by the # of reviews honestly....I'm partial to dungeness crab restaurants like PPQ. GARLIC NOODLES MAN.

Nice. Yeah I was going to peep yelp too. I`m going to be walking distance from Union Square, I assume that is a good spot to be?

swan oyster depot if you like seafood, get there early, always a line out, but it's worth it

The Mission in general is amazing for Mexican food. Enjoy it while it lasts; before long the last great spots will be replaced by $10 coffee shops and $20 Americanized food joints. Lots of strange characters roam around the neighborhoods where the authentic spots are though

Do NOT fall for those hipster recommended spots, like Nopa for example. Long @#$ waits to get some basic @#@ Dennys's type of breakfast  honestly the best food in the Bay Area is in the South Bay. Not as much to do out there but so many damn good Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Mexican spots. I mean the city had those too but nowhere near as many.

Gotcha, it's a hole in the wall I assume. I assume they are known for their Burritos as "Mission Burritos" is SF style burritos or something? From the description it seems like the style Chipotle aims to make compared to say the San Diego style Burritos with fries in them and are smaller

Basically. "Mission" style burrito is what most people think of when they think of burritos. In southern California especially SD you'll see "California" burritos with french fries or potatoes in them.

Make an informed decision though. Not all Mission style burritos made in the Mission are created equal.

For instance one might recommend you try El Faralito. Instead kufi smack them and hit La Taqueria. Best guacamole in the world.

Super Duper Burger
The Phoenix
Broken Record
Patxi's
Guadalajara
A bunch of places in Little Italy, Chinatown, and Pier 39 if you want to stay downtown.

Boy if you don't get some Chinese food while you're here..

San Tung - pretty basic recommendation but those wings are the truth. Good dumplings and noodles too

Shanghai House - my favorite Shanghai soup dumpling spot and it also has great wings (possibly better than San tung [emoji]128567[/emoji])

Chili House - great Sichuan style Chinese food, if you into spicy ****

HK Lounge 2- my pick if you wanna hit up a dim sum spot

Pm for menu recommendations

I agree with the sentiment but Nopa legit has the best burger in they city. It about $20 tho :x

A good idea for avoiding the lines at places like this is to go around happy hour and sit at the bar. Can still order most of the food there too

+1, gonna be in Newark/Fresmont area. Whats good over there for grub?
I live around that area

Sala Thai in Fremont

Tasty Pot in Newark

Satomi Sushi in Fremont

Bombay Pizza in Fremont

Little Dipper HotPot in Fremont

Gangnam Tofu House in Fremont

Boba spots/Dessert:

Sharetea/Tapioca Express in Union City

iTea/T4 in Fremont/Newark

CREAM in Fremont Pacific Commons

San Francisco wise, if you're in the Mission

Basa Seafood Express (some of the best sashimi I've ever had at a great price)

El Farolito
