Ryan Lochte and other US Swimmers Lie About Robbery in Rio

He's a known idiot lol. I can't go to youtube at work but look up the video of the morning show interviewing him then making fun of how dumb he sounds.
 
Most likely a drug deal gone wrong.

I guess being caught for lying about this is better than him getting caught in a drug deal
 
who reported it to the authorities in the first place? probably ran late to meet his mom and told her he got held up


what can the authorities even do to the swimmers at this point?

I don't believe they reported it as a crime. The gas station people called the cops and lochte & crew bounced. Then they said they were robbed at gun point but I don't think they actually filed a police report

Everybody thinks there's a possibility they will get robbed in a different country that's why people always tell us to stay on the resort unless you know a native

Was a easy story to believe IMO things got fishy when he was talking all that tough talk how he didn't sit down when they told him too

Yeah it was pretty obvious he was lying.

1. Allegedly he was laying on the ground yet cameras back at the Olympic Village show his clean white pants
2. He responded "whatever dude" when ol boy had a gun to his head. Really Lochte, "Whatever dude?"
3. Their stories didn't match up
4. Video at the Olympic Village show them laughing and chillin after alleged robbery
5. No witnesses
6. They couldn't describe the taxi, the driver, etc.
