Same. As long as their respectful and don't do anything out of line, i'm fine.

I miss my neighborhood growing up. Pretty diverse and welcoming for the most part.

I miss the block parties. You don't see those as much anymore.
 
I live in Jackson Heights which is probably one of the more culturally diverse neighborhoods in NYC. Within mere blocks of each other there are rather large Middle Eastern, Asian, and Hispanic communities. My wife is Puerto Rican, I'm black (Panamanian), and our son is a healthy mix of us both. We get the craziest looks from every race, like nobody ever seen an interracial couple before. :lol:
 
I couldn't live in Jackson heights too much craziness around there lol the bangladeshis have taken over

This. When I moved to the DC area I lived in a super nice suburban part of PG, primarily black. Moved to NoVA to be closer to work and it's just not the same. I think when i'm ready to buy it'll probably be back in MD somewhere.

But the detroit public school system is one of the worse ever, I know from experience so my son would never go to a school there then it's just way safer to stay on the outskirts.

When Pops got his paper up and moved us to a "good" neighborhood, our neighbor told someone that pops was a drug dealer. Someone poisoned our Rottweiler. :smh: All kinds of dumb ****.

Fast forward to today. My neighbor is a Sheriff. When I first moved here I tried to be cordial but got the cold shoulder so I stopped speaking. Then his wife cursed my gf out one day and tried to come apologize later when I was here alone and I told her she needs to apologize to my gf. These days they fake friendly, but I don't speak to them. I've had other issues with random white people around here, but it's par for the course. I don't kiss ***. I've cursed a couple people out.

I rather live Ina community than in a rich neighborhood if you know what I mean. I ain't the most social person but my current neighbors and people on my block look out for me and my family just becuase of our rep and how we treat others. Plus that fakeness the rich people have is disgusting. Wasn't raised that way so why would I live that way, feel me.
