Hibbett Sports Job Interview

Why not take a Fast Cash Loan to buy some clothes for the interview?

Serious question?

That's a terrible idea.

OP, avoid fast cash loans at all costs throughout your life. The interest is insane and not worth it.

I agree with the other poster who suggest getting some cheap dress shoes at Wal-Mart or Target. I know Hibbert's is an athletic store, but interviewing in J's is not the best look.

Nonetheless, I wish you the best of luck and hope you come back with some good news.

So here is what happened, my cousin lent me a shirt and tie. I wore the same pants mentioned but switched my shoes to 7s. I went in and the manager didn't say anything or motioned towards my shoes. The manager said that I would make a great addition to the team (called me ambitious, eager to work, and I really care about the overall product of they sell) but the manager still has to interview more people this week. I also made friends with one of the works and we started talking about school before my interview. I also told the manager about how I'm trying to pay for school and my availability. Overall the manager was impressed, to say the least.

Yea good point , I forgot not all the positions they got in the stores/ gym/food spots on campus ...they basically retail jobs but it's way more convenient ...only downside is you can get a lot more extra hours if you needed to working a regular retail job , OP might need/want that
I worked on campus (campus bookstore) and the pay is the same as a regular minimum wage job (payed every week). Also I received little to no hours (some weeks I would only work 3 hours).

Don't wear J's unless their the Black Cat IVs or Ref edition XI IEs

Other than that, casual shoes or sneakers and you should be fine

Research the company. Even though u know of it, you don't know about. What's their motto, philosophy, etc. If you can tie that into your answers that you give them, it should show that you cared enough to do your research.

Sounds like the interview went well OP. Still not too sure about the shoes, but I hope you get a call back. This sounds like a gig you really want!

If the manager gave you his/her card, then consider writing an email thanking them for his/her time, and remind them within one or two sentences how you'd be able to have an immediate impact on their store. This will be a great way to distance yourself ahead of any other candidates being interviewed.

Former assistant manager here

Talk about your ability to cross sell and get multiples
Talk about your ability to follow instructions, but when dealing with a customer you know it can go any way, so you can also work in a chaotic, fast paced environment
Talk about your promptness and ability to complete multiple tasks at once

Wear a polo, some khakis, and some casual kicks.

BTW, working there is easy, but the pay is basura.

Thought I had some sage advice, too.

No, it was great advice. I already had the interview though. As I said before I wore a dress shirt and tie with dark khakis, and some 7s. Told her about my ability to persuade the customer to purchase a product (telling them they look nice in them and about what makes it a good thing to buy).

Good job bruh. Tell these fools to get the **** off your shoes....

When you get straight then get you some nice dress shoes, I mean some $20sum dollar **** from Walmart.

I've went to interviews for good jobs where I've been high and intoxicated and still landed the job... 2 outta my last 3 jobs I didn't even have to interview, they just seen my resume and asked when can I start...lol. Always aim high.

Never judge yourself or the situation when it comes to interviews, they're doing the interview not you. Just be yourself always, the greatest version you can be.

They'll see it in you, no matter if you can see it for yourself.

Will do, I plan on wearing a short sleeve button down shirt, khakis, and my Nike Air 4s. I hope that's a decent outfit.

I called today and the manager said that they will reach their final decision on Friday before 5:00 PM. I also might have an interview for Champs Sports coming up too.

Well my friends I did not receive a call but I want to thank you all for the advice and tips. I will try other places to see if can secure a job.

It was the 7s.

Might as well apply at citi trends a couple doors down

I guess but I wore a dress shirt and tie. Though I can understand why, you must be professional with shoes also. I will try to apply there too; thank you.
