Are defects like this possible?

Hi guys, i'm a new nt'er, and i have a question. On my 01' bred 1's, the vertical stitching is missing near the top two eyelets. Idk if this is a defect or if it's fake but its only on one shoe. (everything else checks out to be legit) So tell me is a defect like that possible?

I've never seen a fake missing a part of the stitching so my guess would be factory defect
