As grown men, we should know the difference between good sheets and bad sheets. There's no reason for you to be over 20 years old, and have them little lint balls on your bed sheets fam. Ain't no woman about to be rolling around in your bed getting little cloth knots stuck under her toenails. Which is what leads me to make this thread. Each one teach one, until the student becomes the teacher. I'm not gonna lie, I don't know everything about fine linen. So I call on my NT brederen and sistren for guidance. Back in my late teens, I'll admit..I was copping Mainstays brand sheets from Walmart (or is it Target, idk). The types of sheets that makes the wild DJ Kid Capri turntable scratch when you rub your leg on em. But I changed...a lot. I stepped my thread count up, I stepped my quality up. But part of me believes that I can still do better. And I would do better... if I knew better. So here's where i call for help

To my knowledge, Egyptian cotton is always the way to go right? I been doing some searching, and noticed that they got Microfiber Egyptian cotton. I've never tested these out, but the whole microfiber thing throws me off.

My main confusion comes from my lack of knowledge of Comforters and Duvet Covers. What are some go to factors to look for when choosing one? I know goose down is always the best right? Well I can't afford that  so what's the next best thing?

Pillows. It's important to have pillows. Especially if you 6'6 and you smashing a 5'5 ting, you need enough pillows to put under her back to give you #DatLeverage..but that's a topic I'll touch on at a later time. Down pillows I'm assuming is also the best. I've had my run with memory foam pillows. Unappreciated in the winter because they get hard like rock once that cold air hits em.

Anyways, shed some light on this topic. I know we have some interior decorators on here, so let's make this an informative and educational experience for everyone.

in as well. i've been needing new sheets.

I'm still using some cheap ones I got from JC Penny several years ago, wash them every two weeks. I could use some new ones as well

i have some more expensive ones and some cheap ones from ikea, they are fine imo, just touch the samples before buying. and change the sheets every two weeks. i have atleast 4 sets of fitted sheet/pillow cover/duvet cover on rotation

My set: LL Bean percale sheets + LL Bean baffle-box down comforter + Brooklinen duvet + shredded memory foam pillows and some firm down pillows.  Also got a backup pair of sheets from JC Penney as well. My level of comfort when I sleep is

No regrets on any of my purchases

Only thing left is to replace my mattress. Any recommendations?

Check out Macy's Hotel Collection sheets. Sets range from $80-250 depending on thread count and bed size. I recommend the 800 thread count and I have 2 of these sets on rotation.

My cousin recently bought some bamboo sheets and hasn't shut up about them. I've never slept on silk/satin sheets, but I can assume the chicks would love them.

I would stay away from Ikea's bedsheets unless you're in college.

Are y'all females or women?

The official take my masculinity it's yours thread...

Id sleep on a bed of nails if I had to..... As long as it's soft an I have a cover I'm good. I've never made a bed in my life and even when I do the damn things come off anyway and I'm sleeping on half mattress half sheets.smh ain't nobody got time for that.

Just my opinion. I currently sleep on a couch...fml

i can't afford nice sheets...i sleep on a folded blanket and spray it with febreeze a few times per week

Gotta get the silky joints.

Plus, the silk ones dont mess up the chicks hair as much know im talmbout.

gotta have 600 thread count  with egyptian cotton ... comfy as hell. gotta always have comfortable sheets. i dont care bout blankets.

Glad this thread was made...I'm in search of a king sized bed and some sheets.

Me & wifey only do Egyptian cotton bed sheets & we use Serta memory foam cool pillows. :smokin

Best time to get them are black Friday deals.

My wife & son use the Serta Stay Cool Gel Memory Foam Pillows.

I switch from a Serta Perfect Curve Gel Memory Foam Pillow & the one mentioned above.

I sleep on a mattress on the floor. No box spring, no sheets, just a pillow and no pillow case.

Silk sheets are everything! the only annoying part is when your pillow slides LOL..i actually need to buy some more sheet sets but having a king sized bed the sheets and blankets are always soo much more expensive smh
