The audacity of these fake Americans telling me to leave. It's almost comical at this point. Especially Gry60 who can't even answer the simple question of "do you hate America?"

Extreme nationalism was the reason why the world went to war in 1914 and 1939. There is a danger to the concept that is never acknowledged by those who want to use it as a means to an end. @The Natural Mystic posted a link to a veteran's comment essentially supporting Kaep's right to protest, and the discussion that ensued there was even more enlightening.

Vietnam veterans were shamed when they came back from there. The very people who protested against the Vietnam war, dodged, or escaped the draft are now, 40 years later, in a state of unconditional acceptance when it comes to military action and are criticizing someone for questioning the country just like they did back then.

I watch every NBA game begin with a military parade and I can't help but feel like I'm back in the dictatorship I grew up in.

The key word you used is extreme. Of course extreme nationalism is scary. But so is the opposite. A borderless, one world society wouldn't be utopia or practical. Need a balance between the two.

Replacing nationalism with mass governmemt or religion will get you the same if not worse results that extreme nationalism will

Remember freedom fries? People asking liquor stores to stop stocking french wines and being serious about it? The Texas board of education trying to get book publishers to downplay slavery and the contributions of Latinos to this country? We're right there, at the edge, if we haven't crossed it yet.

The irony of da freedom fries is that it's not even France who invented french fries  :smh:

But in Rico's case.... it doesn't matter if America is wrong.. just move out!

Oh look American Soldiers just gave small pox blankets to Native Indians.. .oh you don't like it? Move out

Oh look American Soldiers just abused and tortured prisoners of war at abu ghraib... oh well you don't like it? Move out!

Oh look Police brutality proven by actual video footage and the Police continue to be shielded by the Justice Dept for any and all wrong doings... What... you don't like it? Move out!

I am gonna start posting "MOVE OUT" every time Rico or Ninja complain about Obama now. You don't like how Obama does things? Well you can get the hell out then!

The da 2 hoods ITT telling everybody to leave are voting for the guy that has been complaining for months about how horrible the country has been these past 8 years.

To address your second point about borderless states:

While I don't think the world economy will go back to one of tariffs, culturally and socially, we are very far from a situation where a world without borders would work. For starters, we don't speak the same language or share the same customs. What I don't think is beneficial for any of us is completely closed borders because there isn't a single country on this planet that produces everything that they need, materially or intellectually.

You don't know who I'm voting for. Quit pushing that false narrative.

Either you're not voting or you are voting for Trump.

You can not convince me or anybody else that has seen your posts in both the Trump and Political thread otherwise.

My comment will be a one off, not replying to anyone who replies to me nor have I really read through this thread other than skimming through the last page or so.

I'll semi cliff-note my thoughts.

- Nothing is more un-American than sitting around and NOT challenging the status quo. Clearly there are some things very, very wrong with how this country treats its minorities, namely its black minority. To not speak out against injustices is to be the opposite of what an American should be.

- The anthem is a farce at this point. A blatant slap in the face of Americans. We came to this country to be free of tyrants 6000 miles away only to be led by tyrants right next door. Until we have a government that truly has the people's best interests at heart. Our forefathers fought for freedom and now our government has us fight ******** protracted wars under false premises not for freedom but for money, money for corporations like Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Gruman, etc.

- Justice in this country is also as much of a farce as our military is. Privatized prisons and the corporations (like the CCA and the GEO group) that thrive on keeping minorities institutionalized don't care about rehabilitating and educating convicts, no they rather feed the pattern of recidivism.

- Our uber militarized police forces across this country use advanced analytics to aggressively target and arrest certain demographics at a disproportionately higher rate than they do whites. This is an incontrovertible fact. They're seemingly all too content just hitting their numbers and calling it a day. Policing has become all too impersonal and financially incentivized.

The racial issues in this country are deeply financially seated. There are folks who got this **** down to a science. It's alarming that more Americans AREN'T expressing their discontent with our government in the manner Kaepernick did. Even middle and lower class white folks don't realize how game is being ran on them. That's the funny part in all of this, it's their children who go fight wars for wealthy old men, it's their children who get indoctrinated into abusive police forces.

Once you're dependent on the system however, I guess it's difficult to consider alternatives.

Which is why the most ironic part is people commenting about Kaepernick's money and how living in this country has afforded him the opportunities he has. I personally believe that police and military are the most socialist organizations we have in this country. Kaepernick and athletes like himself are actual viable commodities, soldiers and cops fighting imaginary made-up wars? Not so much. Yes, you read me correctly, I'm absolutely saying that cops and soldiers are worth less than your run of the mill pro athlete.

Nothing is more counterintuitive to humanity than warfare and unjust imprisonment. It makes me sick people make a living off it. Now before some ******* moron says "well we wouldn't be able to enjoy this or that without cops and soldiers". I'm not saying do away with both altogether, I'm saying the current models of American police and military are an affront to justice and peace in this world, we would absolutely be better off as a society without either as they currently operate.

Maybe the people who have a problem with him expressing views should leave, because they apparently have a problem with free speech.

Don't agree with me? I don't care. As they say on twitter, don't @ me.

Oh this guy. The international interloper. Is your country so boring that you have to inject yourself in convos that literally have nothing to do with you.

Like get a hobby bro. It's getting sad at this point.
I've told both you and Ninja before on multiple occasions that I have a chronic debilitating illness which prevents me from working and all of my former hobbies that involve physical activity. But since you didn't get the memo apparently, let me explain it again.
My body is unable to properly utilize carnitine, an essential component in providing energy for the body's muscles. That translates to 24/7 chronic pain in both lower legs, muscle weakness and severe muscle cramps during the slightest bit of physical activity. Nothing I enjoy more than the good feeling of some cramps while taking a shower, or being utterly exhausted when I try to make my bed.
I'm still waiting on my DNA test results to confirm the diagnosis, but the specialists are fairly certain it's CPT-2 deficiency. On top of that, certain triggers aggravate the symptoms. Such triggers being physical activity (the more I move, the more pain and cramps), very hot/cold temperatures, ...
Strenuous physical activity also puts me at risk for kidney failure and rhabdomyolysis. I know it doesn't take much because my urine goes dark brown if I hang out with my friends for a few hours, regardless of how much water I drink. Sounds fun right? Perhaps we should change shoes and see how much time you spend on NT when you've had to give up all of your hobbies and are in pain every second of every day.

salute. hope your condition improves

No one in here or really in America is running around asking for a compete dismantling of the government, we are asking for a more just system, better governance and more equitable society. Wanting the best for everyone, including the ones that hate the sight of you, imo is the most patriotic thing anyone can believe.

So me, and people of my ilk might be the biggest patriots running around NT.

I have had arguments with anarchist on this site because the can't for the life of them explain how our socioeconomic system would work in the world they preach would be so great. The main thing I always argue about is protections for minorities and who is going to provide our public goods, because these are things all Americans benefit from.

So there is no wave of anarchism talking over America, not wave of antt-American hate.. However there is a toxic wave of nationalism taking over the west, including America.

There is nothing wrong with healthy nationalism, the problem is we never practice it when it comes to important matters. We usually demand people be patriot when we are about to go bomb brown people to dust overseas..............and the Olympics. Furthermore nationalism doesn't have to reach the level of the Nazi to be toxic. The white nationalism the Tea Party and Donald Trump is extremely dangerous too.

Yet people like Ninja, Rico, Blco, Robot and even Duyba will defend people that indulge in these forms of nationalism like they are justified in some way.

And Ninja will run his mouth about other folk, claim American is so amazing, yet support a candidate who every time opens his mouth talk bout how America been feel off, and only bring back greatness is to blacks to heel, kicking out the Mexicans, blocking the Muslims, and throwing money at the rich and white.

And if you don't like it, leave.

So please, it is not black people fighting for justice you have to worry about indulging in an toxic ideology.

So now SFPD, the same department constantly under investigation for racism, homophobia, and abuse of the poor/homeless, is saying that Kaepernick's comments are inappropriate...

I swear these guys don't think about their hypocrisy AT ALL

I wonder how many police departments would be open to the DOJ doing what they did in the Ferguson, picking through all their records to prove or disprove that they are discriminating against minorities.

If Kaep is sooooooooo out of line. Let the DOJ prove him wrong, simple

Somewhere close to zero to none would be open because most police departments rely on unconstitutional and racist tactics.
