Official 2017 Knicks Offseason thread, Phil Jackson gone

But I’m buggin, since the new lottery system is about to take place the Cavs or Thunders 1st in 2019 and 2021 would suffice because they will both be mediocre by then once Lebron and PG leave.

If OKC is in the mix they'll def try giving us Kanter and a pick or some other crap. Melo would have to play the 4 there though and we know how he didn't want that in NYC so idk how that will work with Paul George playing SF.

And no shot we get the Nets pick. If we gave up a first rounder for a 32 year old player not named Lebron people would flip.
If we ain’t getting that pick. I’m not sure I’m even answering any phone calls from the cavs. Only person I woulda taken was kyrie , they got nothing the Knicks would possibly want .

Unless we talking about the cavs first rounders for 2020-2021 when they suck after lebron leaves .

honestly I'd just offer Melo to whatever team for a first and second round pick. If Lebron is hypothetically gone, Cavs would probably be okay leasing Melo to have a shot against the Warriors next year. Melo, IT, Love and Lebron is a great offensive lineup.

And Rockets not gonna keep two picks if they think Melo will make them a contender. If we're really all about youth and growth, a first and second can do a lot
