Official 2017 Knicks Offseason thread, Phil Jackson gone

id rather take expiring contracts and the pick. i dont think Boston will give up Bradley, Brown, AND the Nets pick. that's a bit much for a 33 year old. i wouldn't make that trade for 33 year old Kobe or Lebron TBH.

Phil poppin his pill and letting them birds do all the work
That's an awful visual  . Idk how he messed that Jeanne situation up smh
He didn't mess it up. Long distance relationship. They both work on opposite coasts. He chose the Knicks over her.

i'm not pointing out anyone specifically, but in all the time i've participated in this thread, there has been a lot more Melo hate than love. all of a sudden he's deserving of winning blah blah, but like 3 weeks ago people were calling for his head. just an observation of how this thread turns REAL quick :rolleyes

I'm sayin...

DRose out again with another injury.
No wonder the Bulls got rid of him. It was just a matter of time. Lets see how long he is sidelined this time. Drose should represent the NBA of today.
Soft like butter under the sun.

Is no one proven available for executive positions? either way they lose money, may as well just replace Phil.

Get someone in who can get us a PG and help shore up our defense.

Rumor mill says Dolan has had his eyes on Masai Ujiri for awhile now

The thought of us prying away that experienced, competent GM from the Raptors is mouth watering

Just look at what he's done for Toronto. He took Bryan Calangelo's foreign player mash up mess and turned Toronto around into a Eastern Conference Finals team in a matter of 3 years with an actual rebuild

Phil is tryna "Zen" this team into good play with all this trade drama.

The Knicks now have something to play for. If this still isn't enough to get them playing good ball, then you might see a trade.

Knicks control their own destiny at this point. And the fate of Melo

Because these games have worked out so well since he's been Pres.

Last year at the all star break we were 23-32. Right now we are currently 21-28 with 8 games left before the break.

"Superteam"

Other than Rose fans and ppl who want to tank I thought yall were all happy that he's not playing.

I see nothing wrong right now. The trade was literally low risk high reward. We got rid of some players and if it doesn't work out with Rose it aint like we paying him 20mil for the next 5 years.

True we got rid of Calderon that's all I care

- Stretch provision
- The Bulls traded him to LA so I'm sure we could have, too
- Or we could've just kept him on the bench since the rising cap made his contract tolerable
