Official 2017 Knicks Offseason thread, Phil Jackson gone

Phil's gas tank been on E for 3 weeks but he put a folding chair in front of Foot Locker for Saturday
 
The Knicks are not officially "Falling for Lonzo Ball" but with the playoffs an unreachable goal, head coach Jeff Hornacek informed Carmelo Anthony today that he'll reduce the All Star forward's workload over the final 12 games.

"He mentioned today that he's going to start shortening minutes," Anthony said following Tuesday's practice on the University of Utah campus. “We'll see what happens."

shoulda been "shortening minutes" 2 months ago.. can't even tank right

It can work either way playing the bench and resting the starters. We did that the year where melo was injured after the all Star game and went on a winning streak at the end of the season. Missed the first pick by 1 game which turned out to be towns and we ended up getting the fourth pick. I'm hoping the opposite happens to us and we get some good luck but I doubt it lol

we remember that season a little differently :lol:
 
As a fan that wants to win every single game but understands the importance of tanking, thats exactly the way I want my team to tank

Give me the illusion that we're trying and competitive for awhile but still lose

There is a legitimate chance we could slide into the 4th best lottery position.

Looking at the schedule from here on out, we could potentially lose every game. That won't happen but I hope it does.

Also, think Carmelo is going to ask out this summer. Just have the feeling this end of the season broke the camel's back, he knows he'll never see the playoffs again on this contract and I think it's finally getting to him.

Hope we can get a late lottery pick for him.
 
We had the 2nd worst record the year we picked 4th so chances are if we get the 3rd or 4th slot its should be good for the 5th or 6th pick. #superteam :lol: its the Knicks way ...

We'd have to get a 3rd team involved to get anything close to a lottery pick for Melo
 
Sucks that I really have to harp in on these last games just to watch Carmelo's final games as a Knick
