Official 2017 Knicks Offseason thread, Phil Jackson gone

Lil Rivers is a good player tho

Not good enough to be the centerpiece of a major trade but I'd like to have him

If we trade Melo for trash. I'm officially done with the Knicks.
I see this post all the time, yet you come back. It'll be ok man

Nah I'm serious. I've been a fan for 2/3 of my life and this will definitely push me...it's much worse than when we traded away sprewell
Same. If we trade Melo and can't move Noah and dedicate ourselves to a REAL rebuild then that just might cross my line. Seriously, why would Phil even wanna trade Melo at this point? Whats the purpose? What does it accomplish?

Since we trying to finesse y'all and get Melo,

All i'ma say is that if you guys do indeed get Austin, you guys are getting a good player, like...really good.

Consider this:

With Melo's NTC the options were going to be limited anyway, but if y'all end up with a 24 year old guard who's averaging 18 a night as a starter for a winner, and for the season is shooting over 40% on high volume from 3, you wouldn't take that? Given the fact that getting anything close to equal value for him is totally out of the window?

We got a Clippers fan in here trying to convince us Austin Rivers is a "really good" player

Lmao I'm not trying to convince you that he's a good player fam, but if his name wasn't Austin, you would say that a young player who's averaging over 18 a game as a starter, on 40% shooting from 3, is a good player. He's averaging over 19 a game since January 1st and is shooting like over 40% on 3s over his last 100 games.

That is a good player man. Hell Y'all wanted him this summer

All i'm saying is that Austin Rivers has been pretty good this year, and having Austin on the team isn't the end of the world.
