Well the plus side of the trade is........if DMC doesn't pan out well, it is a salary dump for New Orleans with DMC declining a contract extension. New Orleans can start out fresh and pick up some decent free agents to replace not just Boogie, but even both Hield & Tyreke.

I don't think it was THAT bad on the Kings part
They made a decision to move on from Cousins and there wasn't much of a market for him out there
If he doesn't resign with NO then it's a rent a player L for them and no first rounder this year

the Kings just turned a player averaging 28 pts & 10 boards into an unproven shooter, an inconsistent vet, a 3rd string point guard, a 2017 1st rounder & 2017 2nd rounder.

I don't think so. Kings gotta first round pick for a player they weren't gonna keep this offseason. They could have gotten more though.
We traded a first rounder for Bargs. Hahahaha, it's such a bad trade that I can only laugh every time I think about it. It's still worse. Giving up a first round and two second round picks for absolute **** is comedy. This might be the worst trade of all time.
