Official 2017 Knicks Offseason thread, Phil Jackson gone

That per 36 stat is horrible, but honestly for this one situation, if Willy becomes a full time starter those would probably be his stats.

He's our new David Lee.
What about it is horrible?
Pardon the dinosaur but wtf is a 'qualified rookie'. Have 'unqualified' rookies had better stats?

(google couldn't give me an answer)
Yeah what @nickmaz96  said

It just refers to minutes. You have to be on the court X amount of minutes to be qualified for a telling per 36

If someone plays 1 minute in a game during garbage time and scores 2 points, once the game is over his points per 36 has him scoring 72 points over those 36 minutes

So obviously in things like this you can't include all rookies lol

^ I think that's why Sam said per-36 is horrible

It's good if a guy plays 20-25 minutes

Draymond is saying the same thing we're saying. No one will want to come here
We should just tank. Make the playoffs to get waxed by the Cavs first round and get a pick worst than 10th isn't beneficial.
I'd be cool if Melo would stay but it is best for him to try and land on the Clips/Boston Or a Toronto

"the first qualified rookie to average 15-13-2 per 36 minutes since Charles Oakley"
I feel like that stat is CRAZY misleading in a mad ambiguous way. There has to have been a rookie since Oak who averaged those numbers. But then its per 36 and you have to be qualified. :x What are the qualifications, foreign born, left handed? I like Willy tho :nthat: def looking like a good signing

The Knicks never got a big time tier 1 free agent (unless you count Amare as one). I dont see what will change now.

We just got put on blast by guys like Wade and CP3 warning other free agents about how awful management treats players. Sure, we can sign B-type free agents who will take the cash, but an A-type with options will consider otherwise.
A-types were never signing here though.

Our biggest FA signing is STAT and he broke down 2 days later.

If he don't count well the Dolan effect is more putrid than I thought since that would mean we will never sign a FA of that caliber.

So if Billy was out there for 36 minutes y'all really can't see him getting 15 & 13? :nerd:
That ain't the hard part to see. The hard part is that no other rookie since Oakley's rookie season has, or was capable of doing it
