Things/issues/beliefs/views that u completely changed your opinion on ?...VOL 180

Rare and Medium Rare Steak, I used to be a Well Done Steak guy until I accidentally cooked a steak Medium Rare one day.

Same here, I would always order my steaks like that. Up until last year, I was messing with this chick and when I said well done she asked me you sure? I was like yeah. SOme time later she was making me a steak and I find out it became a topic of discussion among her and her friends because I like mine well done. Talking about I'm missing out on flavor, I'm ruining the meat blah blah. I'm like why do yall care how I order my food?

She worked at outback so she starts going on and on about the chefs not liking it when people order well done steaks. Saying it kills the nutrients, loses flavor, its dry and that they don't want to be associated with "well done" meat being served because they take pride in the high quality cuts of meat they have and cooking it to well done prevents you from tasting and seeing that. Lastly, it shows that people who order well done don't know much about meat and how it should be cooked. I was taken aback by all of it, but I kept an open mind. I thought it was a little crazy that people felt this passionate about it but I was willing to try something different. She made it medium well and man that **** was ******* good. I think it helps that the very last time we went out to eat I ordered steak and eggs at this place in DC. That **** was small as hell, and dry as a motha. I had steak and eggs at a Bob Evans diner and that was better than what I got at that Hoytee Toytee DC restaurant.

Changed my world. All I gotta say :smokin

I was a well done person too :smh:

I do medium now doe

Add me to the former well done crew

Same here. I'm never going back

Generalizing that all undercooked meat tastes better and has more flavor is such an elitist thing to say. Like we don't all have different taste buds. :rolleyes

I'm not saying you guys are doing that, but I hate when people say that.

I've tried steak from blue, to well done. Medium rare is my preference.

Any???

I used to HATE coffee for the longest.

Wasn't until recently that ive begun to like it.

Also was church going as a kid. Dont go at all now.

-Daily coffee drinker right here, I wouldn't go as far as I need it daily but def drink it more than I used to, which was none at all

-Went to a catholic jr. high and a christian high school ontop of that my parents were(and are) still very involved in the church(Baptist) I stopped going once I was 18. They still try to get me to go, but I just don't believe in it the way other people do. Also in light of recent events that have caused racial tension, I'm thinking more and more about how religion was just thrusted upon my ancestors when they were slaves and those beliefs were just passed down, makes me mad just thinking about it

"Money u the root of evil. How they print 'In God We Trust' knowin what u do to people?"

Stepdads.

Didnt always get along wit mine.

When i was fresh off highschool is when i noticed how much dude was there for me all these years.

Now that i have my own kid, i despise those that dont man up and respect the hell out of the dudes that stand up and fill that void.

Paging @Lionblood. Ain't you an ex- Christian turned devil worshipper? A 180 in it's purest form, no?

Thought red bulls was an alcohol drink for the longest :smh:

till a couple years ago i saw a kid buy one and was like :nerd:

Tried it for myself, now im addicted to it.
I love the taste of Red Bull, but they are a huge rip off. The 8 oz cans that are usually $3+ only have 70 mg of caffeine in them, which is completely unnoticeable. The 20 oz can that usually costs about $6 have around 175 mg of caffeine.

Meanwhile for like $2.50 you can get a Rockstar that has 240 mg of caffeine. If you're actually buying energy drinks for energy, buying Red Bull doesn't make sense.

Religion. Born and raised Catholic, became a skeptic then eventually atheist, blamed religion for the world's problems, etc. I'm still atheist but I no longer have the same antagonism toward any religion.

Exactly the same but im not an atheist

I'm not as religious as i used to be (I was damn near straight edge for about a 6 year stretch) but I'm definitely not atheist. I feel like there's some higher power, but it doesn't work the way we think it works.

Grew up in the Catholic Church and used to be religious as a teen and in my very early twenties. I'm pretty much athiest at this point. I can respect someone who believes in God and the church but I still carry a lot of anger and regret for wasting my youth on the church. I feel like I missed out on a lot because of it.

Used to hate the taste of beer. I'm sitting at a bar right now having an IPA as I type this.

I used to rock BBall kicks but I think I've gotten rid of all of mine now except for 2 pairs of Jordan's and a pair of Huarache BBall joints that I just keep to play ball in.

Abortion.

Made chicks merk off my youngins wit no remorse. Now that I have kids, I wonder about the ones I'll never meet. I feel like I monster cus I decided who lived and who didnt.

Lebron...

Was a huge fan of his coming out of high school and following his career. Than he made "the decision" and I felt like he was the worst high profile athlete ever. A mental ****** who could never handle competition and who's fundamental game was beyond suspect....but then he went back to Cleveland....

And now, Nike's advertising push from 13+ years ago was damn near prophetic. We are all witness.
