I'm heading to New Orleans for the first time this Saturday through Tuesday. Gonna hit the Raiders Saints game, but beyond that have no plans.

So New Orleans natives and frequent visitors alike, put me on to the best sights and sounds, eats and alcoholic treats, must see and/or do...and a great strip club wouldn't hurt either!

My man I'm supposed to be there in the building with with you on Sunday. :smh:

Still never been to NO its at the top of my list.

If you get a second to press pause on all the debauchery you should check out one of those swamp tours, idk if you're into stuff like that.

They don't take their clothes off but it's lit in there . Make sure to get wasted as ****. Not much pop off around here around this time but of course you guys gotta come through Mardi Gras season

EDIT: this weekend should be lit thought cause it's the first game of the season. Make sure to get to the stadium 1 hour early and hang at champion square, tons of fun and fans **** talking

lol don't mind my first post originally from Lafayette, LA about 2 hrs from NOLA, been there plenty of times just be aware of your surroundings.... good areas turn into bad areas quick. if your not into drugs and all that extra crap you should be good.

- hand grenade is a must.....fish bowls are great too both taste superb...both are strong as hell YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED lol
- bourbon st of course (gets old to us people from LOUISIANA but a must for tourists) also make sure you go during the day time also a very different experience during the day time.
- french quarter - lots of great places to eat... carriage rides... people doing shows...
- aquarium/zoo is pretty nice if you have kids
- harrahs casino is a couple of blocks from there if you like to gamble. I go there frequently probably twice a month.
- ocena grill my favorit spot to go when I'm in town... there is one close to bourbon st.

Cafe Du Monde for beignets

Bourbon St. - Visit during the daytime. Went at night and it reminded me of Hamsterdam from The Wire.

Also, if you park in one of those lots you pay hourly for, don't leave anything valuable visible. Got caught slippin and left some nike shoes in the back of the SUV we rented. Back window was shattered when we got back.

I appreciate all the responses! I'll be staying at the Hyatt Convention Center. At LAX now getting ready to head out. If any nt'ers out that way gonna be out tonight, shoot me a pm, lets link up!

Best wings are at wing shack. Trust.

Hit up mid city for the hipster scene

Best daqs are at genes

Frenchman is dope

The French quarter/cbd for all the art galleries

Metro is a good night club

hell no, unless I would be making serious bank...... cost of living is pretty high to LIVE IN THE CITY.

for the price, crime, and hassle def not worth it

now the cities on the outer skirts kenner, metairie, slidell, harahan  which all are 10-15 mins away are nice

I have lived in kenner for about 2 years btw with my girlfriend at the time..... all the cities on the outskirts are boring, but you can always take that drive to New Orleans.

I'm gon be in N.O. in early Nov, gon check out some of the spots mentioned. We'll be there during the week so I don't know if they'll be a lot going on. We'll be staying in the French Quarter so at least we'll be close to that.

I would not even live in any of these cities skirts kenner, metairie, slidell, Harahan. If I move to NOLA I'm here to stay in the city not the outskirts.

But I'll probably stay in New Orleans for a year or two max.

Edit

There is always something going on in New Orleans Nov will work out well for you dathbgboy dathbgboy

Coo. My wife wanted to go for her 30th and we're only there for a couple days. How are the Ubers and Lyfts down there since that's gon be our way of getting around, can't stay in the French Quarter the whole time

The Ubers were fine there, we had no problems. When I get back to my desktop, I'll post a list of spots I hit up when down there.

naa bro your crazy your going to be paying a 1000 plus for a 1 bedroom studio staying in the "city"  DEF AINT WORTH IT

louisiana standards thats high and new orleans is def not a city for a dude with a family to settle down.....

if I was single, no kids, had a cake job and just wanted to wild out  until I become a addict I would DEF move to New Orleans in a heart beat.
