Got my SBB Away's today. I ordered on the 8th. They are simply beautiful. I can't thank whiplashtw03 whiplashtw03 enough. I love 1's and you absolutely saved me on this release. Don't hesitate to PM me if you need an assist in the future. Good guy right there. :nthat:

Anytime my dude. Thanks for the love *thumbs up*

Saw on the other thread that you went and picked up the BT's at Fox Hills today. What time did you go? Any sizes left of the BT's and Bred 1s and were there a lot of pairs? Fill me in bro!

I doubt they "staff up" unless they open up a brick and mortar location in the future. This is most likely the first time they've had to fulfill this type of volume so I'm sure they're gonna figure out how to streamline their entire process as they grow. I give them kudos for maintaining communication with their customers even though it may be a little delayed. I, for one, know what its like to operate a startup and it takes months (even years) to establish a consistent rhythm in your workflow process.
For sure I feel that but instead of delaying the inevitable just tell the truth. Hey we're extremely behind your order will take a extra week.
Or in my case don't tell me you will send a invoice and don't especially 4 times

Hopefully he's not stringing you along..... Or me, for I was told they would Pp invoice me too. And this was last week! Their communication skills are lacking.

I ordered the OG SBB and Chicagos. Both pairs are "on hold" at their warehouse with a post it containing my name on it. I told them not to ship it to me because I will pick them up in person.

I also pre-ordered the Black Toes. If they already received a partial shipment, I will pick those up as well. I'm busy all week so I probably won't pick up my shoes til the weekend.
Bro if you can PM the plug I definitely been trying to cop since my dog chewed up my collection. Much appreciated of the help!

that's a good one! Just curious my dude...so your Nike bot, plus your friends who work at FTL and your sis who works at Finishline ain't enough of a plug for you?

Got there at about 11:15 am. Said they were only selling Banned 1s. There was already 20-30 people who had already bought them and we're waiting in another line to buy another pair. First time buyers like myself were in another line and that was about 25-30 people when I got there. Line was moving really slow. As soon as I got to near the front to buy a pair of Banned's, they said they got word from Nike that they could sell the Black Toe's. So now the other line with the people who already purchased was the beginning of the Black Toe line. I had to forego my pair of Banned's and go over to the Black Toe line because that's what I went there for in the first place and I didn't want to miss out. Before they released the Black Toe's, they took care of all of the people who wanted the Banned's. Not sure how many pairs they got, but it sure seemed like a lot. Some people definitely doubled up. After that was finished, they started selling Black Toe's. They gave out numbers but it was so chaotic because more people had shown up. It wasn't organized and my group got pushed back more than we should've gotten pushed back. There was confusion with their numbers and I was starting to think I was going to get screwed over. Mind you, I was about 20 or so when I moved over to the BT line, but I certainly didn't get to checkout at that number. More and more people showed up and it wasn't handled in the best possible way. By the time I got to the front, size 9 sold out. The store at that point was pretty full. There seemed to be a large stock of the BT's, the guy kept bringing out stacks of boxes, but I'm really not sure how many total. They had a good amount. I'm not sure how many people got their pair after me because I left; but as I said, they already sold out of 9's when I paid. When I left it was super crowded. No way all of those people got a pair. I finally got out of there about 2:15-2:30. I'm glad I got a pair, but they need to cut out the chaos and confusion. There was a better way to have people line up and hand out numbers and keep things orderly. It was too much of a zoo for me.

Thanks for the detailed report bro! Repped.

For the reasons you described above is exactly why I am so sour about the "shoe game" today not to mention a majority of the people there are probably resellers. What makes it worse is that these retail stores don't even know how to handle the logistics and planning of such an event, which is why there is always chaos. Case in point: Nice Kicks LA grand opening events for the Yeezys and Banned 1s. I was there for one of those events and said to myself afterwards "never again"

Thank god for Westbay!

What was mall security doing to keep things organized?? Fox Hills is traditionally known to have chaos, confusion, and people getting robbed at the parking lot.

No problem. Yeah, I'm also sour about the shoe game. I have been for awhile. There were tons of resellers there and they were leaving with multiple pairs. I was about four people from the front and about to purchase my pair of Banned 1's when they announced they were going to sell BT's. I left the line to go to the Black Toe line. Well, when it was time to sell the BT's there was too much confusion and I was starting to think I was going to leave there with nothing. I was getting pissed. These stores don't know how to handle a release right. It's not that hard but it always turns into a zoo of confusion and people cutting lines and trying to pull shenanigans. If I didn't get ONE pair with how early I was there, I was going to go off on a manager; especially when the resellers had multiple pairs. That's why I usually stay away from crap like this. I can't stand how stores can't handle a release. For me, if I were in charge, it would be cake; but these people can't get their act together and IT'S NOTHING NEW. They have had years to get this right. It's just stupid. That's why I stayed away from the Nice Kicks LA opening. I just can't stand people scheming, cutting line, and walking out with multiple pairs when I know what they are doing and I'm struggling to lock down one pair. Anyway, that's why I mostly buy online. I can't tolerate the stupidity of what it has become.

Also, I never saw mall security. Everyone was bunched up in the store. [emoji]128580[/emoji]

That's just flat out sad and pathetic that mall security wasn't even involved to restore order. I can only imagine all the people bunched up inside the store like a can of sardines. Good thing you were able to at least get a pair. You mentioned you didn't get your size 9, what size did you end up copping?

All the store manager had to do was count up the inventory of banned 1s and BT 1s that they were releasing today, create one single file line for BOTH pairs, issue wristbands and/or tickets to those in line and ask what size they wanted based on their place in line until all pairs were accounted for, and FORCE EACH PERSON TO CHOOSE between either the Breds or BT's in order to guarantee a fair shake for everyone there and prevent people from doubling up. This way, a majority of the people in line will come out with a W, whether its the Breds or the BT's. Instead you got dudes walking out with two pairs of Breds and two pairs of BT's smh.

Seriously, I ought to apply to be a district manager/Operations Director at one of these footwear retailers and call it a day lol

What I don't understand about the career resellers copping multiple pairs at special mid-day weekday releases like at NiceKicks LA is where they get the time to do this? Do they not have a job or school? Standing in line for hours at a time during a weekday?

On another note, this release was poor planning and management by NiceKicks LA. They should have had the following:

1. Wristbands, tickets, etc. given out that match the number of pairs being sold.
2. Restriction of 1 shoe per person. Banned or BT.
3. Single file line for those with bands or tickets.
4. Security maintaining order and preventing cutting or bs.
5. Limit store entry to 5 customers at a time.

Undefeated SF had a single file line and security plus customer number restriction for store entry during the Yeezy 750 pickup on Saturday.

As for west bay, no response for me either. If they are really a 2 person setup, they need a 3rd guy for emails. At least when orders are backing them up. I'm going to wait until Thursday until I get more persistent about getting shipping. My Banneds and Chicagos were suppose to go out today.

I'll join you guys here. [emoji]128564[/emoji]

Yeah, by the time I left, the store was packed with people. The multiple lines in the store and people not staying in an orderly line just created nonsense. It looked like people were all over the place. No, I wear a size 11. I got my size. The girl told a few of us when we got up there that size 9 had just sold out.

I know, I agree with you, it's as easy as you explained. They just keep making it a Mickey Mouse operation. That's another thing, just like you said, people should've had to choose one or the other. Not both. You have people leaving with multiple pairs and others being shut out altogether. I was shaking my head because there were a lot of guys getting both and I was thinking I would be shut out...and I was there pretty early and I don't live that close. I didn't want to make the trip and leave empty handed. If so, the manager would've gotten an earful and the district manager would've heard from me too.

Like I said, that's why I usually stay away. I can't take the circus and sometimes the unfairness of everything. I just want my one pair and be on my way to enjoy my life.
